Something pretty special is happening in our region 💛

Thanks to funds raised at the 2025 Project 365 Wangaratta 'U Can Cry' Gala, we’re proud to be partnering with Gateway Health to support and grow a vital youth mental health program across Wangaratta and surrounding communities.

Delivered alongside headspace Wangaratta and headspace Albury Wodonga, the Peer Project is already making a real impact:

• 40 young people engaged in fortnightly groups
• 25 attending Friday social sessions
• 24 students reached through rural schools
• 12 connected to critical support services

This program creates safe, inclusive spaces where young people can connect, build confidence, and access support in a way that feels comfortable and stigma-free.

And the best part? This has been made possible by our community.

What started as a gala night has turned into real, ongoing support for young people who need it most.

This is what community looks like. This is impact.

Another day, another conference.

Pete regularly speaks at corporate events and conferences, creating space for honest conversations around mental health. When it’s spoken about in a real and relatable way, it helps break down stigma, normalises checking in, and reminds us that every workplace is made up of people carrying more than what we see on the surface.

One of the best parts? People often walk out feeling lighter, more open, more supported, and genuinely heard.

To businesses planning mid-year conferences or team days: bringing mental health into the agenda can be a powerful step. Through Project 365, all funds raised go straight back into the community through mental health scholarships, helping more people access the support they need when they need it most.

Together we can start conversations that shift culture, and create a ripple effect that lasts long after the event.💙

Why bring mental health into your mid-year conference?

Because work doesn’t stop when the meeting ends and neither does what people are carrying with them.

When businesses make space for mental health, things shift:
💙 Better communication
💙 Stronger trust in teams
💙 More honest check-ins
💙 People getting support earlier, before it gets heavy

Mid-year is the perfect reset, not just on goals, but on how your team is actually going and how you want the culture to feel moving into the back half of the year.

Behind every refined, fine-tuned performance is rehearsal.

It’s showing up when you’d rather stay home.
It’s working through the hard parts.
It’s backing your band when it’s not perfect.

Life’s the same.

Highs and lows. Strong moments and shaky ones. What matters is showing up. For your people. For yourself.

Doing something you love, like music, can be a juggle. Life’s busy. Energy runs low. But these guys will tell you it’s worth it, in more ways than one. 🎶

Rehearsals build trust. They build resilience. They remind you that someone’s got your back when things feel off key.

The performance matters.
But so do the rehearsals. 💛

Lock this in. You won’t want to miss it.💙🏉

The Ovens & Murray Football Netball League has partnered with Project 365
to launch their first ever Mental Health Round!

📅 June 27–28 2026

Led by the Project 365 team, Steve Manning, Rachael Devine, Emma Merlo, Ben Thomas and Pete Rourke, this partnership is about bringing the whole community together around something that matters.

A full weekend focused on:
🔹Showing up.
🔹Checking in.
🔹And supporting each other, on and off the field.

Because the reality is… more people are struggling than we realise. And most of the time, you wouldn’t even know it.

Across the weekend, including the Wangaratta derby and Walk & Talk, we’ll be selling Project 365 beanies, with funds going towards mental health first aid scholarships across clubs.

Safe to say… this day didn’t exactly start the way Pete planned.

He was a bit rattled. Could’ve easily called it and gone home. But he didn’t. He showed up anyway.

And that’s kind of the point.

Because mental health doesn’t wait until you’ve got your head straight or your day sorted. It shows up right in the middle of real life… when things go sideways.

And still, people show up. To work, to things they said they’d be at, to school pick up, to life. Sometimes carrying more than anyone else can see.

So if your day’s a bit off today… and you’re showing up anyway, we see you.

Drop a 💙 if you’ve ever had one of those days and showed up anyway… let’s remind each other we’re not alone.

Goulburn-Murray Water took time out of their day for a messaged that matters.

On Wednesday 25th March, Project 365 founder and mental health advocate Peter Rourke — who many of us know simply as Pete — presented a powerful Project 365 session at Quality Hotel Wangaratta Gateway for Goulburn Murray Water.

After reaching out to bring Pete in, their team created space for an honest, grounded conversation around mental health in the workplace.

Project 365 started as a simple idea in 2021. Now it’s helping teams across the region better understand, support and look out for each other.

Big thanks to Goulburn Murray Water for backing the conversation and being great to work with.

If you’ve got a team, this is the kind of session that sticks.

We’ve been bowled over. 😜

Four Thursdays. Dozens of legends. One very good cause.

Barefoot Bowls at Wangaratta Bowls Club brought the community together and raised an amazing $1,407.10 for Project 365. 💛

From friendly banter to serious (and we mean serious) competition, it was four weeks of laughs, connection, and a whole lot of good.

Same time next year?

Showing up can mean everything to someone.

Living and working in the North East, you become part of something bigger. It’s the way people in small towns support each other. 💛

There are a few local opportunities to do exactly that:

🚶‍♀️ Beechworth to Bridge
Saturday 28th to Sunday 29th March
Walk, remember and connect.

What a night on the green! 💚

The Wangaratta Bowls Club recently hosted the Barefoot Bowls Charity Challenge, bringing together local businesses, community groups and mates for a bit of friendly competition, a BBQ and a drink or two.

Teams of three hit the green and, even better, each team got to nominate which of the four local organisations they wanted to support, including 365. How good is that?

Community spirit, a few laughs and real dollars going back into local causes. We’re so grateful to be part of it. 💛

24/02/2026

More than 20 locals were lucky enough to participate in our Mental Health Scholarship program 💙

Wangaratta and North East Victoria business leaders spent two days learning practical ways to recognise mental health warning signs and have better conversations at work.

Our Mental Health Scholarships will be back in the new year.
👉 Follow us to stay up to date with the next intake!

We're so grateful for the support of local businesses who believe in what we do and help us share the message further. 💙

A big thank you to our good friends, Propel Digital for supporting Project 365 Wangaratta 'U Can Cry' and helping us strengthen our digital presence.
