Today, our wonderful residents enjoyed their very first High Tea at Warragul Community Aged Care. The weather was perfect, the tea was delightful, and the food was absolutely spectacular. Most importantly, the company was brilliant. The afternoon was filled with warm conversations, shared stories, and plenty of laughter, creating a truly meaningful and social experience for everyone.

This High Tea would not have been possible without the incredible hard work, commitment, and teamwork of our staff. A heartfelt thank-you to the Wellbeing team, our wonderful volunteer Lindell, Christian and his talented kitchen staff, Charlie and the Maintenance team, and the dedicated care staff who ensured residents could attend and enjoy the event.

Each contribution played an important role in creating a successful, seamless, and truly memorable afternoon for everyone.

World Science Day Fun! 🚀🧪
Today our residents celebrated World Science Day with an afternoon full of discovery, curiosity, and amazing experiments! We kicked things off with a hands-on science experiment — filling a balloon with air without blowing into it or using a pump! Residents were fascinated to see science in action and loved guessing how it worked.

Next, everyone explored the incredible science behind the 1969 moon landing and learned how space exploration has evolved 56 years later. The excitement continued as residents discovered the amazing facts and technology behind the International Space Station, which orbits Earth every 90 minutes! 🌍✨

To finish the day, we took a walking tour of the solar system — scaled to a basketball-sized Sun! The residents were amazed to find out that if the Sun were the size of a basketball, tiny Pluto would orbit 1.2 kilometres away! 🪐

It was a fun, educational, and truly out-of-this-world afternoon filled with learning and laughter! 🌌👩‍🚀👨‍🚀

Too good not to share a second post. Our residents had a wonderful time showing off their handmade fascinators for Oaks Day! Each piece was beautifully crafted with care, colour, and creativity — a true reflection of the hard work and imagination that went into them. It was such a rewarding moment to see everyone proudly wearing their creations and celebrating together in style!
