Welcome back, everyone! We hope you’ve been enjoying the sunshine this week. ☀️

This Wednesday’s question is:
“Can I place something in the coffin with my loved one?”

💛 Absolutely. It’s a beautiful and meaningful way to send them off with a part of your love. Many families choose to place:

Handwritten letters or cards

A favourite pillow or blanket

Special mementos, photos, or keepsakes

These items can bring comfort, tell a story, and honour your loved one in a very personal way.

⚠️ If your loved one is being cremated, there are a couple of important restrictions for safety reasons — nothing with glass or batteries can go in.

When we apply for a Death Certificate on your behalf, we’re required to provide a detailed list of information. It’s really important that everything is correct—especially names, dates, and spellings—as even small errors can delay the process.

If born overseas: year of arrival in Australia
