Do you have poor digestion?

If you have a pyrrole disorder it's important to not only target your nutrient deficiencies but also your digestive system so you absorb as many nutrients as possible from your food. Poor digestion reduces absorption of every single nutrient, exacerbating zinc, B6 and other nutrient deficiencies, so it's important to treat any digestive issues along with the pyrrole disorder itself.

Did you know that pyrrole disorders impact sleep?

If you have a pyrrole disorder you may know that excess pyrroles deplete our zinc and vitamin B6. Our body needs both these nutrients to make serotonin (our happy hormone) which the body then converts to melatonin. Melatonin is required to regulate our sleep-wake cycle, therefore low levels of B6 can lead to insomnia.

Zinc and vitamin B6 are also required to make the neurotramsitter GABA (sometimes referred to as ‘nature’s valium’) which keeps us calm and relaxed. Insufficient GABA can trigger anxious feelings, making it hard to sleep.
