✨ What Is a Glimmer? ✨
A glimmer is a small, positive moment that brings a sense of calm, safety, joy, or gratitude to your body and mind.
It’s considered the gentle opposite of a trigger.
Where triggers activate stress and survival responses, glimmers support your nervous system by helping it feel settled, present, and at ease.
Glimmers are often simple and easy to miss:
• sunlight warming your skin
• the smell of fresh coffee or rain
• a kind word
• a deep breath that softens your shoulders
These moments may seem small, but they have a meaningful effect. When noticed consciously, glimmers help shift your brain out of constant alertness and into a state of balance and connection 🪷
The practice of noticing glimmers is a form of nervous system awareness.
Each time you pause to acknowledge one, you gently train your brain to scan for safety, beauty, and goodness — not just problems or threats.
As we arrive at the second-last day of the year, this practice becomes especially meaningful 💫
Before rushing toward resolutions or what’s next, glimmers invite us to pause and gently notice what carried us through — the small moments that quietly supported us along the way.
Over time, this intentional focus can support emotional resilience, presence, and a deeper sense of gratitude.
Life’s challenges don’t disappear, but they begin to share space with moments of light 🫧
Glimmers remind us that even on busy, heavy, or uncertain days, there are quiet invitations to pause, soften, and reconnect.
🪷Gentle practice:
Today, notice one moment that feels good in your body.
Name it.
Let yourself fully receive it.
Small moments, lovingly noticed, can quietly change the way we move through the world 🙌🏽🙏🏽
