At the 2022 Equally Well Symposium, David Colquhoun, Clinical Cardiologist & National Heart Foundation Director, gave a presentation titled "Lifestyle and cardiology for people with mental illness".

The leading cause of death particularly in those over the age of 30 is coronary heart disease, and the rates are much higher in those with mental illness compared to the rest of the population. David spoke about this relationship as well as major risk factors, omega-3 content in blood as a predictor of cardiovascular disease, and how to do a cardiac investigation for a patient with mental illness.
