🚫 MYTH: You can’t use an AED on someone with a pacemaker or defibrillator

Let’s set the record straight: Yes, you can use an AED on someone with a pacemaker or internal defibrillator. And in a life-threatening emergency, it could make all the difference 💥❤️

Pacemakers and implanted defibrillators are designed to help regulate heart rhythms, but they don't replace the need for immediate action during sudden cardiac arrest. If someone collapses and is unresponsive, don’t hesitate to use an AED!

The key is simple:
🌟 Avoid placing the AED pads directly over the implanted device (you’ll usually see a small lump under the skin near the collarbone)
🌟 Follow the AED’s voice prompts as they guide you through every step

The sooner you act, the greater the chance of survival. And knowing the right info helps take fear and hesitation out of the equation 🧠
