The Illawarra Family Medical Centre was formed in 2005 with the merger of three established local general medical practices. IFMC offers Disabled Access.
The Illawarra Family Medical Centre provides a modern, exceptionally well equipped and professionally staffed facility to General Practitioners, Specialists and Allied Health Practitioners. Its founders conceived a vision of a modern, purpose-built facility providing consulting suites, staffing and services to general medical, specialist and allied health practitioners, who in turn serve the local community with dedicated and expert care. Open 7 Days
- Monday-Friday: 7:30AM – 6:30PM
- Saturday: 9:00AM - 4:00PM
- Sunday: 9:00AM - 1:00PM
PARKING
Free, ample and secure undercover parking is available for all patients on Basement Level B2. Entry to the car park is via Khan Lane off Denison Street. Please obtain a ticket from the security guard for free parking. Disabled parking spaces are provided. Disabled access to IFMC is via the lift from the car park or ramp
from Crown Street. Take the lift to Level 1 for IFMC. IFMC is easily accessible by bus. IFMC is on the free green bus route. The closest Bust Stop is Wollongong Hospital. It is then an easy 2 minute walk to IFMC. IFMC is easily accessible by train. The closest Train Station is Wollongong Station. It is then an easy 4 minute walk to IFMC.

Our clinic will be closed from Friday to Monday over the Easter long weekend. We will reopen on Tuesday 7th April as normal.
To make sure you’re all set before the break, please organise any prescriptions, referrals, or urgent enquiries ahead of time. The days leading up to the holiday can get quite busy, so we really appreciate your patience.
