City life swapped for fresh air, wide open spaces, and a whole lot of farmyard charm 🐴🌿✨

What a getaway in the Southern Highlands! We had farm life right on our doorstep — mini horses, donkeys, geese, our own hen house, a very friendly alpaca, plus sheep, goats and even peacocks! All the animals casually strutting past our cottage like they owned the place (they probably did 😄).

Days were spent pub-hopping through the most beautiful historic spots (with seriously delicious meals), wandering the charming streets of Berrima, soaking in those jaw-dropping gorge views out at Tallong, and yes… we tracked down the iconic “Big Apple” 🍎. We even had a crack at panning for gold!

But the real magic? Night time adventures. Armed with torches, we headed into the bush at Bundanoon for the glow worm walk — and it delivered. Glow worms lighting up the darkness, wombats doing their thing, and the cutest ringtail possums you’ve ever seen.

What a way to wrap up our ACE group’s last full day in Adelaide! 🐾✨

We spent the day exploring Adelaide Zoo, and the absolute star of the show was the giant panda, Xing Qiu 🐼 — stealing hearts left, right, and centre!

There was so much to see and laugh about — from the cheeky little penguins swimming around, to the playful monkeys and baboons keeping us entertained. The meerkats were on high alert as always, popping up and down like tiny guardians of the zoo!

One of the highlights was spotting the echidna busily waddling along, nose to the ground in search of ants — such a cool little creature to watch up close. And of course, the giraffes were incredible, towering above us and looking as majestic as ever.

A day full of fun, exploring, and amazing animals — the perfect way to end our Adelaide adventure! 🦒💛
