It doesn’t stop there.

After a hysterectomy, menopause hits harder than a Mac truck.

You’ll still need HRT, nutrition, and lifestyle support no exceptions.

I’m starting this conversation because this is reality for every woman and for some dumb reason society still treats the word menopause worse than the word ‘f**k’ sometimes. 🙄

And it’s not just you it impacts your relationships too.

And I say this with love


But every time I ask someone about their daily basics
“Do you drink enough water?”
“Do you sleep?”
“Are you actually eating real meals?”

It turns into a full-blown interpretive dance.
An arabesque.
A roundhouse kick.
Anything except a straight f**kn answer. 😂

And somehow you’re shocked that you’re exhausted 24/7
and your period is an absolute s**t show.

Tell me I’m wrong.
I’ll wait. đŸ€·â€â™€ïž

Drink some water today so you don’t turn into a sultana.
Go to bed earlier so you’re not cranky AF and you’re nick named a Karen from HR at work.

We need to chat and get you feeling like a functioning human and not buckled by 3pm wanting to throat punch the next person that looks at you. đŸ«¶đŸ©·

Look, I’ll be honest
Some weeks I am elite with my exercise routine.

Other weeks I am a wild, clumsy raccoon that struggles to sit on the s**tter without a mobility aid after working those legs of mine. 😂
Because sometimes, especially with my autoimmune and tissue disease my body gives me the bird. đŸ–•đŸ»

And that’s exactly why your training shouldn’t be rigid because I’ve learnt and lived that mine sure as s**t can’t be. đŸ„Ž

One session you’re strong and you’re all bout that s**t slaps.
Next session you’re inflamed, underslept, emotionally cooked and crackle like coco pops.

So we adapt.

I’ve been on hydrocortisone since I was two.
My physiology isn’t “normal” I manually manage my stress response every day.

And recently I noticed fluid retention. Ankles. Thighs. Lower belly. I feel like a water balloon most days.

Old uneducated me would’ve panicked and not ate, run till I died and then assessed my ‘skinniness’ in the mirror that night wandering why the f**k I didn’t loose a kilo sweating hole out and accused myself of “Letting myself go”
Yes I did that s**t to myself when I was younger

But, I needed to get real with myself lately and lucky I’m now logical and know a thing or two about wha my body is telling me.

Mh dad died a few years ago pretty horrifically, and that kind of grief and trauma in the human body will hold fluid and disregulate so many other biological mechanics.
Grief will f**k you up

When stress and emotions are high

đŸ©·ADH increases
đŸ©·Circulation slows
đŸ©·Lymphatic flow decreases
đŸ©·Water retention rises

That’s physiology. Not failure.

Lower-body fluid retention is often when Movement is low
Stress is up
Nervous system overloaded and unregulated AF
It’s
Not “fat gain.”
Not “hormones cooked .”
Not “metabolism broken.”

Sometimes your body isn’t gaining weight.
It’s holding. 💔

And the solution isn’t punishment.

It’s simply

☀ Walking again
đŸ«€ Sunlight
đŸŠ” Calf pump
🧠 Regulating your nervous system
đŸ©· Doing the s**t you love again

Change the inputs gently
 stack them up slowly and watch it respond. That’s exactly what I’m working through myself
You’re not expected to just get over it.
