Just an update.
We are still open and operating at our usual hours.
Since the lock down we have taken our appointments off HealthEngine as we are running by phone appointments only.
As a result and with increased COVID cases the phones have been increasingly busy making it difficult for people to get through, with many getting a disengaged tone as all lines are full.
As you all know, Warilla Medical Centre is committed to and passionate about delivering the best healthcare.

Warilla Medical Centre is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team on a full-time basis.

The successful applicant must have an interest in both clinical and administrative roles including the practice accreditation.

Responsibilities include:
• Triaging of patients.
• Assisting GP with procedures including excision of lesions.
• Health assessments, chronic disease management, care plans and patient education.
• Performing ECGs and other tests such as spirometry and audiograms.
• Immunisations (including children).
• Wound care.
• Ear syringing.
• Management of patient reminder and recall systems.
• Re-stocking of rooms and preparation for next day operation.
• Good computer skills.
• Ensuring efficient functioning of the practice.
• Adherence to and understanding of the cold chain management principles.

The successful applicant would possess.
• Current EN/RN AHPRA registration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise.
• Knowledge of policies/procedural guidelines that have legal implications
• An interest in practice accreditation is essential.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and as part of a team.

Registered Psychologist or Accredited Mental Health Social Worker Job Description

We are currently looking for a Registered Psychologist or Accredited Social Worker to join our team of allied health professionals. Ideally you will have experience with a broad range of conditions including addictions, behavioural concerns, anxiety, grief and loss, stress and trauma.

Responsibilities:

-Provide psychological and therapeutic services to a range of clientele
-Conduct consultations and diagnostic assessments
-Prepare documentation, correspondence and reports

Requirements:

-Full registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or Accredited Social Worker with AASW.
-Be registered as a psychologist or mental health social worker under the Medicare Scheme and have accreditation with Medicare to provide services under Mental Health Care Plan
-Working with children check (WWCC)

We require either an Endorsed Enrolled or Registered Nurse all-rounder for our busy 10 doctor practice.
Duties include monitoring and maintenance of stock in doctors’ rooms and the stock cupboard, the vaccine fridge including cold chain management and ordering vaccines. The nurse will also be involved in ensuring the practice complies with all required RACGP Practice standards, and documentation for Practice Accreditation.
The practice nurse may be required to assist with reception duties and experience in this would be an advantage.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work effectively in a team but also independently
