Wave of Light 🕯️
Today and every day, we honour the precious lives taken too soon.
At 7pm, we join families around the world in lighting a candle for the Wave of Light — a global act of remembrance and awareness.

By saying their names out loud, we give voice to every soul and acknowledge the love that will always remain. Together, we create a continuous wave of light circling the world — a symbol of unity, compassion, and hope for every heart touched by pregnancy and infant loss.

At Natural Grace, the honour we hold for every baby and every family we support remains at the very heart of all we do. A large part of our mission at Natural Grace is to make gentle the effect of death and we will continue to always do our best to show up for every family we stand alongside.

May this bring comfort, connection and gentle remembrance to all who grieve. ďż˝

Honouring Bereaved Fathers with Gentle Presence and Care
International Bereaved Father's Day—held the Sunday before Father's Day—honours fathers who carry their children in their hearts rather than their arms. It offers space to acknowledge the deep love and quiet grief of those who have lost a child, no matter their age, or those who are unable to become fathers.

Here are 5 Tips for International Bereaved Father’s Day

1. Acknowledge their fatherhood
Even if their child is no longer physically here, they are still a father. A simple “I’m thinking of you as a dad today” honours their identity and keeps their bond visible.

2. Offer space for remembrance
Encourage a ritual, like lighting a candle, writing their child’s name, or spending time in a place that feels connected. These small acts can carry great meaning.

3. Use gentle language
Avoid clichés like “you’ll get over it.” Instead, words such as “I’m here if you’d like to share a memory” or “I’m holding you in my thoughts” can be more comforting.

4. Create community, not isolation
Some fathers grieve quietly or feel overlooked. Inviting them to a gathering, a walk, or simply sharing a cuppa helps them feel seen and supported.

5. Honour their way of grieving
Every father’s grief is unique. Some may want to talk openly; others may prefer quiet presence. Respect their pace and offer support in the way they are most comfortable receiving it.

We invite you to share their name.

🌿 You're Invited • Natural Grace Open Days 2025 🌿

Let’s talk about what matters most—life, death, and everything in between.
Only half of Australians feel comfortable discussing end-of-life wishes. But these conversations offer a quiet, powerful gift: clarity, care, and peace of mind.

This August, we invite you to join us across Victoria and NSW for a series of warm, welcoming Open Days. Step inside our Sanctuaries, explore holistic and sustainable funeral care, and take the time you need to ask the questions you’ve been holding.

Step behind the scenes, view natural coffins, caskets, shrouds, and urns, and connect with our team over a cuppa. No question is off limits.

Explore personal, family-led funeral options and our gentle, nature-based approach in a calm and caring space.

Tour our beautiful new Sanctuary, learn about after-death care, and discover what natural funeral choices look and feel like.

There’s no need to RSVP—just come as you are. You’ll be warmly welcomed with a cup of tea, compassionate guidance, and all the time you need.

We are delighted to announce that the NSW Health Department have approved crematoriums to offer shrouded cremation to the NSW community.

Shrouded cremation is the practice of returning a body to the elements by way of fire cremation but without the need for a coffin. It is a beautiful, sustainable and respectful practice and one Natural Grace is proud to have pionereed in Victoria and offered our community for over a decade.

This is wonderful news for all those seeking to minimise their environmental impact but also for those for whom a coffin serves no meaningful purpose.

As highly experienced shrouded cremation practitioners, we invite you to talk with us about how shrouded cremation could work for you.

For more information you can visit us at our beautiful new Hunter Central Coast Sanctuary, explore more about shrouded cremation at https://naturalgrace.com.au/hunter/green-funerals/ or call us on 02 4951 6631.

🌸 Today is Mother’s Day 🌸
With tenderness, we honour all mothers—and those who offer mothering figures and care in quiet, everyday ways.

We also gently hold space in our hearts for those who find today tender or difficult.

For the ones moving through their first Mother’s Day without their mum.
And for those who feel, deep down, that this may be their last.
You are not alone.

In your own time, you may wish to remember in a way that feels right for you:
🕯 Light a candle
🎶 Play her favourite song
🍽 Cook food she loved
🌿 Take a quiet walk
đź“– Sit with cherished memories

There’s no right way to honour this day. Just your way.

May whatever you do be soft, spacious, and kind.

And if you feel called, you’re warmly welcome to share your mums name and/or how you’re remembering your mum today.

Sometimes, our stories become a gentle light for others.

With love and care,
The Natural Grace Team

This week, in honour of International Bereaved Mother’s Day, we warmly invite you to visit our Woodend Sanctuary between 10am to 4pm (each day).

Take a quiet moment to write the name of your child on a paper heart. You can place it gently in our heart-shaped bowl as a tribute of love and remembrance. We will offer you a cuppa, along with some other keepsakes.

There is no rush—just space, warmth, and time to reflect. You are welcome here.

If you cannot make it into our Woodend Sanctuary - we invite you to comment the name of your child on this post if you would like to share.

đź”” Stay Vigilant at Macedon Cemetery đź””

We’ve been saddened to hear of recent thefts from cemeteries in the news, particularly the targeting of brass plaques. While we hope our peaceful cemetery remains untouched, we ask all visitors to stay vigilant.
🔹 If you notice anything missing or out of place, please report it to the Cemetery Trust.
🔹 If you see any suspicious activity, take note of details and let us know.

It’s heartbreaking to think of families visiting their loved ones, only to discover such an unkind act. Our thoughts are with those in our community who are distressed by this.

Victoria Police is urging scrap metal dealers to be wary of thieves attempting to sell the plaques.

Let’s all work together to keep Macedon Cemetery a safe and respectful place. 🕊️
