With the anticipated cyclone heading our way along with probably a lot of thunder and lightning I felt it prudent to share with you what you can use to calm your doggie friend.
Always introduce your dog to essential oils before any stressful event (ie practice when they are calm and relaxed, to get them used to the oils, so that they don't associate the smell with a stressful event).
A great way to use them is to put a drop of Peace and Calming or Valor or Pet Care on your palm, rub your palms together so that the oil is virtually all absorbed into your hands, then pet your dog (in the ways they most love, including stroking their ears).
Once they attune to the oils, you will find you can then use the oils in a stressful situation (same method of application, but this time don't rub your hands together so much, so there's more oil to pop onto doggy). I'd do that at the first sign of something stressful that would make your dog want to bark.
