This season, I often bring Cypress essential oil into sessions. It’s gentle, grounding, and supports the nervous system to feel safe enough to release; without force, without overwhelm.

Cypress encourages a deeper breath, helping the lungs open and emotions flow. It’s a soft invitation to let go of what no longer serves you, to move through grief, transition, or anything that feels stuck. Not dramatic, not collapsing… just a steady, grounded exhale.

✨ A simple ritual you can try at home:

Place 1–2 drops of Cypress in your palms.
Rub hands together and cup over your nose.
Take 3 slow, steady breaths…longer on the exhale.

On each exhale, silently say: “I release what is complete.”

After your final breath, gently ask: What am I ready to set down? No need to solve it…just acknowledge it.

You don’t always “see” burnout.

Sometimes it looks like functioning… but flat. You’re still showing up. Still getting things done. Still being the reliable one.

But you wake up tired. Your mind feels foggy.
Your body feels tight. You’re wired at night but heavy during the day. And joy feels further away than it used to.

Burnout isn’t just about doing too much.

It’s what happens when your system has been in constant output for too long; holding, responding, anticipating, pushing through.

Eventually the body adapts. It braces. It stores stress. It suppresses what you don’t have time to feel. And your capacity quietly shifts.

This is why more sleep, a holiday, or “thinking positive” doesn’t always touch it.

Real unwinding happens through the body.

Through kinesiology, we gently uncover and clear the subconscious stress patterns driving the overdrive.

Reiki supports regulation and restores flow where you’ve been depleted.

Because anxiety nearly swallowed me whole.

Not the neat, diagnosed kind. The quiet kind. The undiagnosed kind. The “you’re just tired” kind.

Motherhood cracked me open.

I was holding everything:
👶 A baby with silent reflux
💔 A husband in severe back pain
🏡 A home, the calendar, everyone’s emotions
🙂 And the “I’m fine” mask

On the outside, I was coping. On the inside, my nervous system was in overdrive. First the anxiety. Then the constant stress. Then the panic attacks. Heart racing. Chest tight. Thoughts spiralling. Feeling trapped in my own body.

And underneath it all… Old wounds. Broken family dynamics I hadn’t realised that I was still carrying. Patterns I’d normalised. Tension that felt familiar.

No one joined the dots. Not the sleep deprivation. Not the physical strain. Not the emotional load. Not the generational stress sitting quietly in my body.

Until my body forced me to listen. It wasn’t failing me. It was protecting me.

Kinesiology was the first time that someone looked at the whole picture…my body, my stress, my emotions, my history.

Layer by layer, I regulated. I processed.
I released. The panic attacks stopped. The anxiety softened. Conversations shifted. Boundaries formed. Family dynamics healed. My body felt safe again.

And I knew:
✨ This is the work I’m here to do.

The missing work. The work that should be taught in schools. How to understand your nervous system. How to move stress through the body. How to break old patterns instead of passing them on. How to listen before your body has to scream.

Now I help other women do the same.

The ones who look “fine.”
The mums stretched thin.
The women waking at 3am with racing thoughts.

You don’t have to break to begin healing. I’ve been in the spiral. And I’ve walked out the other side…with confidence, feeling empowered and on purpose 💛

This morning I unlocked the studio door a little earlier than usual.

The air was still. Quiet in that way that feels sacred. The kind of quiet that holds possibility.

I flicked on the soft lamps instead of the overhead lights. Let the room wake up gently. Rolled out my meditation mat. Adjusted the bodywork bed. Spritzed a little cypress into the diffuser…grounding, steady, strong. The scent wrapped around the space like a quiet reminder: be rooted, but rise.

There’s something about stepping into the studio before anyone else arrives. It feels like standing at the edge of something unseen. A threshold.

This space has held so much.
Tears.
Laughter.
Frustration.
Breakthroughs.
The long exhale after someone finally lets go.

And today, as I stood there, I realised something….every time I walk in, I’m not just preparing the room for my clients.

I’m stepping into myself.

Not the version of me that doubts.
Not the version that overthinks.
But the version that trusts.
That listens.
That holds.
That knows.

The studio isn’t just four walls and remedies.
It’s intention.
It’s energy.
It’s devotion to the work.

When the first client arrives, they’ll see a calm, welcoming space. But what they won’t see is the quiet ritual beforehand…

the breath I take at the doorway,
the intention I set,
the silent promise:
May this space support exactly what is needed today.

Stepping into the studio isn’t routine.
It’s a returning.

To purpose.
To presence.
To the work I’m here to do.

And that feels like coming home.

Affirmations aren’t just “positive thinking.”

They’re a way of gently reprogramming the subconscious and reminding the nervous system what safety, support and possibility feel like.

Every word carries a frequency. And the words we repeat, silently or out loud, shape how the body responds to life.

In my work, I use affirmations to:
✨ support emotional release
✨ calm the nervous system
✨ shift limiting beliefs
✨ anchor new healing patterns into the body

When paired with kinesiology, breath, sound or touch, affirmations become even more powerful…because the body is already in a receptive state.

Some of my favourites to use in sessions and daily life:
💛 I am safe in my body.
💛 It is safe for me to let go.
💛 I create conscious change
💛 I trust the process of my life.

Affirmations don’t force change.
They invite the body into a new conversation 🤍
