When Your Brand Finally Has a Face šŸ™‚
Lisa came to me with a vision she’d been nurturing for two years: HR Brains Trust, an expert panel designed to end the loneliness HR leaders feel.

But here’s the thing about building a brand - you can have the perfect positioning, the most authentic story, and a visual identity that makes your heart sing. But until you have imagery that captures the real humans behind the work? It stays conceptual.

For Lisa’s photoshoot, we weren’t just taking professional headshots. We were capturing proof of concept.

Her brand personality: Strategically sharp. Refreshingly direct. Provocatively wise. Genuinely collaborative. Boldly human.

The photos needed to show all of that. Not staged corporate handshakes, but real conversations. Not performative collaboration, but the actual warmth and wisdom of experts who genuinely love working together.

We shot at Lisa’s home in Dural with 6-8 members of her expert panel. Clean, uncluttered spaces reflecting the ā€œwhite spaceā€ philosophy central to her brand. Natural light. Genuine moments. The diversity of experience that makes HR Brains Trust remarkable.

ā€œLauren guided the process to bring my brand to life with kindness, insight and creativity. She captured the essence, personality and tone of HR Brains Trust beautifully.ā€ - Lisa Ainsworth, Founder

This is Nic . She holds space for healing, transformation, and deep soul connection — and she deserved photos that honoured every bit of that.

Nic came to me wanting more than just ā€œprofessional photos.ā€ She wanted imagery that actually felt like her — that honoured her energy, her healing arts, and the sacred work she holds space for every day.

So we built a day around exactly that.

We found locations that matched her essence, moved at a pace that kept her present, and wove in video content, interview overlays, and website footage that would let her story breathe and reach the people who need her most.

What fills my heart most though? Watching someone arrive a little nervous and leave absolutely glowing — not just because they loved their photos, but because they remembered how worthy they are of being seen.

Nic said it best herself:
ā€œIt was fun, exciting and such a beautiful place we found for the shoot. Thank you for being you — you made us feel so comfortable with your gorgeous energy and kindness. These are so beautiful.ā€

This is why I do what I do. šŸ¤

If you’re ready to be truly, beautifully seen — I’d love to create something like this for you.

I’ve been getting asked what I’m doing differently lately. Friends keep saying I’m glowing, that I look happy, that something has shifted.

So what is it? 🧐🧐🧐 I’m finally holding space for my whole self.

I spent so long trying to belong that I lost my essence in the effort. Somewhere along the way I learned to pack myself away, to wear shame instead of my own style, to make others comfortable at my own expense.
Last year I did the excavation work—the deep, unseen kind. This year I’m choosing expression.

That means flowing with my shifting states instead of forcing consistency. Playing when I want to play. Resting when I need rest. Trusting that it will all be okay when things change.

EXPRESSION is what I’m stepping into as I turn 30, and it’s what I believe will reshape the branding sphere.

Because your brand isn’t meant to be a box you fit into—it’s meant to be an honest expression of who you’re becoming. šŸ’…šŸ¤˜

The Whiteboard Wipe Moment šŸ˜³šŸ¤ÆšŸ’µšŸ‘

On occasion the most powerful creative breakthroughs come when you’re brave enough to erase everything and start fresh. This was one of those moments.

When Rachel and I sat down for her brand immersion session, I had a whiteboard full of carefully planned questions. Then, after our opening meditation, she started speaking her truth—and I did something I’d never done before. I walked to that whiteboard and wiped it completely clean.

What emerged instead was better then I ever could’ve expected.

Fast forward through months of exploration: from Sought-After Society (too formal) to APEX (too masculine) to Lioness (too saturated). Each ā€œnoā€ brought us closer to the truth. Each pivot revealed what wasn’t quite right.

After some weeks of restlessness and disheartening, I told Rachel to take some space and do something for herself.

Then one day, sitting at the hairdresser it came to her.

And there it was: THE BANKABLE WOMAN.
The jaw-drop. The visceral yes. The name that made her heart skip.

Not ā€œsought after.ā€ Not climbing to the apex. Not becoming a lioness.

But standing in the truth that your brilliance deserves to be bankable.

This is what I’ve been building with Rachel—a brand for accomplished women 45-65 who are done playing small. Women who’ve built credibility and are ready to convert it into consistent commercial success. Women who command the room, master their magnetism, and walk their prosperity path.
The visuals you see here aren’t women in boardrooms. They’re what success LOOKS like—convertibles on coastal roads, champagne at sunset, freedom to choose, movement and energy, luxury that’s been earned through brilliance and strategy.
BANKABLE WOMEN launches 2026. And I cannot wait to show you what we’re creating.

Because sometimes the best names don’t come from forcing. They come from creating spaciousness. From trusting the timing. From being willing to wipe the whiteboard clean and let something truer emerge.

Two years ago, I was running a yoga studio and facilitating a women’s business collective.

Then people kept asking me to do their branding. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

At first, I thought it was random. A side thing. Not my ā€œrealā€ work. But it reconnected me to my childhood love of art, design and storytelling. It felt effortless, enjoyable, hours would pass and I realised — I’ve found my thing! This must be flow state.

But the transformations kept happening. Women who couldn’t explain what they did suddenly had brands that made sense. The scattered became clear. The performative became authentic.

That’s when it clicked: this isn’t separate. It’s all connected. šŸ”—

The yoga. The community work. The performing arts. Interior design. Anthropology. Life coaching. Every part of me I tried to put in a box—they all belong together.

They’re not competing. They’re my framework!

After a year of shedding what didn’t fit and stepping into what does, I’m fully owning it now.

Flow State Creative is me. All of me. And I’m proud of that.

If you’re reading this and something resonates—
šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļøIf you’ve stretched yourself too thin and it’s not sustainable
šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļøIf your brand no longer fits who you’ve become
šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļøIf you struggle to explain your complexity
If social media feels performative instead of natural

I’m rebuilding my brand with full transparency. And you’re invited to watch.
Not to sell you something. To give back.

怰ļøThe frameworks I’ve developed.
怰ļøThe decisions I’m making in real time.
怰ļøResources you can use on your own brand.

Because your brand is the heartbeat of your business. And building something visible? That’s brave work. šŸ¤

😬🄵 I’m about to do something uncomfortable.

Evolve my brand in public. Full transparency.

Most brand designers show you the polished final result. The beautiful before-and-after. The success story wrapped up with a bow.

Haha, yeah, not me. I’m showing you the process.

Every strategic decision explained in real time. Every positioning shift. Every content choice. The ā€œwhyā€ behind the what.

But why?
Because understanding brand strategy is more valuable than just seeing pretty designs.

šŸ‘€ Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing:
→ The key shifts happening in brand and content for 2026
→ How to position your brand for this digital season
→ The decisions that create brands that do the heavy lifting
→ Practical implementation you can apply immediately

This is NOT a masterclass. It’s real work on my own business—with you watching from the inside.

If you’ve been feeling misaligned between who you are and how you show up, join me.

Thank you to the support from the Flow State family as I enjoy this special, sacred time. A moment for .rae.burn and her show at Bouddi Arts Trail. I popped in to support my talented friend and snap some shots of her works. Jaime Raeburn is an emerging artist from Avoca. Currently she’s been experimenting with ceramic tiles and artifacts found in nature to give beautiful pattern, symbolism and meaning. Not only that but she is an incredible painter spannning from landscape to abstract. She is humble, contemplative and sooo passionate about her evolving practice. Enjoy! šŸ¤

Two years ago, Lisa had an insight that wouldn’t let her go.

HR leaders feel incredibly lonely—despite being surrounded by people all day.

She’d lived it herself. At 26, managing 52 people under intense scrutiny. Two decades of consulting, watching capable leaders struggle in isolation. The weight of confidential information. The challenge of being a conduit between staff and executives with no one to process it all with.

So she started building something different.

An expert panel of generous, smart, funny people with deep experience. A place where overwhelmed HR leaders could finally think out loud without politics or agenda.

She called it HR Brains Trust.

When Lisa reached out about branding, she told me later that the decision was easy. It was the curiosity I brought to our first conversations. The questions that went deeper than surface-level aesthetics.

We spent 2.5 hours in brand immersion. Not rushing. Just excavating.

Then came the breakthrough moment.
Lisa realised something profound: her expert panel wasn’t just teaching collaborative workplace culture—they were already living it.

They were the proof of concept. The demonstration of what’s possible when you do workplace relationships right.

Everything clicked.

The loneliness insight became positioning. The collaborative model became differentiation. The ā€œwhite spaceā€ she created for clients became a design philosophy. Her authentic values—fairness, kindness, courage—became brand personality.

ā€œIt all flowed but had structure,ā€ Lisa said. ā€œIt was like we’d been working together for years, which is what made the journey so enjoyable. The overall look and feel is exactly what I am looking for,ā€ she told me when she saw the final identity. ā€œIt’s very exciting!ā€

From her coach, Rachel Bourke, at SalesSpace: ā€œThis is music to our ears. We are thrilled with the result.ā€

HR Brains Trust launches this November with a brand that actually reflects who they are—not some polished version of what they think they should be.

One of my favourite creative shoots yet ✨ Celebrating artist and friend Eden Payne’s commissioned work for Gosford Regional Gallery – where we threw out the rulebook and just played. Posing with mirrors, scattered glass pieces, textured surfaces… letting the magic of her home studio guide us. When you create space for exploration over perfection, this is what happens. šŸ”„When someone says ā€˜let’s embrace the awkwardness and just see what happens’ – you know it’s going to be good.

The most beautiful part? An intimate moment behind the lens learning more about her process and the meaning behind the recycled plastic that inspired ownership in me for us to reimagine its belonging in a natural world, and how it’s become our responsibility.
