Klinefelter syndrome can influence a child’s strength, coordination, endurance, learning, and overall development.

Early identification, appropriate supports, and a collaborative approach can make a meaningful difference in helping each child build confidence, develop functional skills, and participate more fully in everyday life.

Our team of Physiotherapists can support your family with building foundational skills to increase participation across multiple environments!

💙💛 World Down Syndrome Day - 21 March 2026 💛💙

Today we celebrate the incredible individuals in our community with Down Syndrome - their strengths, personalities, achievements, and the joy they bring to the world. World Down Syndrome Day is held on 21/3 to represent the uniqueness of three copies of chromosome 21.

It’s a day to raise awareness, promote inclusion, and celebrate diversity. Every person with Down syndrome has their own abilities, dreams, and voice. With the right support, understanding, and opportunities, they can thrive in school, work, friendships, and the community.

As therapists, families, educators, and advocates, we all play a role in creating environments where every person feels valued, included, and supported to reach their potential. So today, wear your bright or mismatched socks, start conversations, and celebrate the amazing people with Down syndrome in your life. 🧦

Playing the same game multiple ways promotes cognitive flexibility, adaptability, and being able to follow new plans.

We like to use the same activity in multiple different ways to help our clients with these essential social and play skills!

Today’s resource is Spot It- let us know in the comments how you like to use this tool in therapy sessions 🤗

🌈 Neurodiversity Celebration Week 2026 🌈

This week is about recognising and celebrating the many different ways our brains work. Neurodiversity reminds us that there is no single “right” way to think, learn, feel, or experience the world. Many incredible individuals in our community are neurodivergent - including those with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and other neurological differences. These differences bring unique strengths, perspectives, creativity, and ways of problem solving.

At the same time, neurodivergent individuals may experience challenges in environments that aren’t designed with them in mind. That’s why awareness, understanding, and meaningful support are so important. As therapists, educators, families, and community members, we can help create spaces where every brain is understood, supported, and valued.

This week we celebrate differences, challenge stigma, and continue working towards a world where neurodivergent people can thrive exactly as they are. Because different brains make the world better 💛

Yesterday was our last day with the wonderful Hannah before she heads off on maternity leave. We want to wish Hannah all the best on this chapter and can’t wait to hear all the newborn stories 🥰
Goodbye, for now, Hannah - you will be dearly missed! 💛

Tiny tools, big regulation wins ✨
Fidgets aren’t distractions - they’re supports. When used the right way, they can help kids focus, feel calm, and stay engaged in what matters 🧠💛

What looks like an empty block of land is actually the start of something incredible.

For the past two years we’ve been planning, redesigning and navigating approvals to build the future home of Coastal Kids Therapy; a purpose-built space created just for children and the families who trust us.

This is Episode 1 of The Coastal Kids Therapy Build.
From dirt and grass to a space filled with purpose.

And this is only the beginning. 💛🌈

Follow along as we bring this vision to life. What things would you love a therapy space to have? Comment below what you would like to see in a new clinic - we would love to hear your ideas 💡

Something exciting is coming… 👀

For the past couple of years we’ve been working quietly behind the scenes on something incredibly special for our CKT kids, families, and our community.

It’s been a journey of big ideas, planning, dreaming and believing in what could be possible.

And we’re almost ready to share it with you. What do you think it could be?

Stay tuned… because this one is BIG. 💛🌈

⭐️ Welcome Misty! ⭐️

You may have had the pleasure of seeing Misty’s face around the clinic over the past few weeks as our newest Client Care Team member. We are super spoilt to welcome her expertise in the NDIS space to our CKT team 🤩

Give her a wave and say hi if you see her when you are in the clinic next 🤗
