Last night, the moon gave us a beautiful display with the clouds, and it gave me a moment just to look up and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of what nature brings to us. It's important to give yourself that time to appreciate what's around - to be kind to yourself by observing our surroundings, and how we can relate to these things, like the moon and the clouds.

BECOME AN ACCREDITED MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AIDER!

Why Mental Health First Aid? 1 in 5 Australians will experience a mental health problem in any given year. This means that every person is likely to know someone who is experiencing a mental health problem – this makes mental health everybody’s business and demonstrates the need for community-led models of care that empower individuals where they live, work and play. This is where Mental Health First Aiders can help.

The course I will be hosting covers common and disabling mental health problems and crisis situations. Participants learn how to apply Mental Health First Aid to individuals across a range of situations, including:

- Depression
- Anxiety
- Psychosis
- Substance use disorders
- Suicidal thoughts and behaviors
- Panic attacks
- Non-suicidal self-injury
- Traumatic events

Those participating in the course will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to recognise, understand and respond to family, friends, coworkers, members of the community or other individuals experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis.

This nationally recognized accreditation is valid for 3-years!

To book a group course, please email me on cainwilson.mhfainstructor@gmail.com, or give me a buzz on 0406 655 420 to organize a time and day that suits best.
