👁️Conjunctival papilloma is a benign epithelial tumor of the conjunctiva. It usually appears as a sessile (flat-based) or pedunculated (on a stalk) mass, often with a papilliform (cauliflower-like) surface.
Common sites: inferior fornix, caruncle, bulbar conjunctiva near the limbus.

Commonly associated with Human Papillomavirus (HPV), especially types 6 and 11.
Often non-painful, but can cause irritation, foreign body sensation, or cosmetic concern.

Surgical excision: Preferred for large, symptomatic, or cosmetically disturbing lesions. Must be done carefully to avoid recurrence.
• Adjunctive therapies:
• Cryotherapy to surgical margins reduces recurrence.
• Topical interferon α-2b, mitomycin-C, or 5-FU in recurrent or extensive cases.
• HPV-related cases: Recurrence is more common.
