Day 2 at GFE got crazy with people visiting and needing to line up to wait for the FREE vision tests. We apologise for the wait, but Optometrist Alicia Hartman offered a more detailed examination and follow-up while Alison Bishop continued consultations, vision tests, and counselling The patient advocates listened to stories about the KC journey some persons who visited are on. All in our small booth, so we will need another opportunity for screening. More on this soon. Great meeting so many, and thanks again for all your questions on keratoconus.

Thank you to the team of the Keratoconus Barbados (KCB) booth of patient advocates, and skilled professionals who volunteered their time, effort, and knowledge to make our free vision screening and awareness exercise a huge success. Girl Friends Expo 2025 was a great forum!

Thank you to Mrs. Roseanne Myers, Founder and trustee of Keratoconus Barbados and main coordinator of the GFE KCB booth and Mrs. Shelly Boyce ia trustee of KCB and retired Prprincipalnd early childhood education specialist. Both manned the booth for the entire two day event with reports of excellent interest in learning about KC and in the free screening. To KC management committee member Keisha Russell-Greaves (also a founding member and trustee of KCB) and Mrs. Barbara Pivot and their beautiful daughters, a huge thank you for your efforts to make the event a success. To new and member Mrs. Greta King, you jumped in to assist on day one and to actively learn more about the condition, and we are truly grateful.

Thank you to Alison Bishop for your attendance also on both days, providing the main equipment used and for the screening and advocacy and adding the pressure tresting equipment and testing to our screen. Alison is an optometrist at Winston Scott Polyclinic, is the island's sole Orthoptist, and operates the Pentacam to provide the corneal scans, which are used to confirm KC diagnosis Thank you, go to Dr. David Callendar, Dr. Francie Browman - Jones an Dr. Ingrid Cumberbatch from the Ministry of Health and Wellness for readily agreeing to partner in this effort.
