Imaging & Ultrasound Incorporated is the leading out-patient Diagnostic Imaging facility in Barbados. IMAGING & ULTRASOUND INC.

Imaging and Ultrasound Incorporated was originally opened at the Pine Medical Centre, Belleville, St. Michael by Consultant Radiologist – Dr Dalton Durant in 1983. The operation at that time consisted of a flouroscopy unit and an ultrasound machine. In 1989 a second branch of the company was opened at Brigade House Medical Centre, The Garrison, St. Michael where the first private CAT scan was installed along with a Mammography unit and a general x-ray machine. As the business grew over the next few years both facilities were amalgamated in 1997 at a new location called the Annexe at the Pine Medical Centre where it remains today. The Clinic is continually expanding and with new technology together with the constant upgrading of existing equipment it makes Imaging and Ultrasound Incorporated the most modern and comprehensive imaging unit in Barbados.

Although relatively small, the thyroid gland plays a huge role in our body, influencing the function of many of the body’s most important organs, including the heart, brain, liver, kidneys and skin.

Crohn’s disease is a long-term condition where part of your gut becomes inflamed. It cannot currently be cured, but there are treatments that can help prevent or manage the symptoms.

Crohn’s disease symptoms vary, depending on which part of your gut is affected, such as your mouth, stomach, bowel or bottom (a**s).

Common symptoms include:

- diarrhoea
- blood or mucus in your poo
- stomach pain
- pain in your bottom (a**s)
- feeling very tired or generally unwell
- loss of appetite and losing weight
- in children, not growing as expected, or delayed puberty

The symptoms can be mild or severe. They usually come and go over time, called flare-ups and remissions. A flare-up can last from a few days to several months.

You may also have symptoms affecting other parts of your body, such as joint pain, sore eyes and skin rashes.
