Traditionally, every evening after school we had to get the large Silver Basin, The Jucking Board and Blue Soap to soak down our school shirts + socks. This in itself was a Ritual! A Ritual that taught us how to be proactive, how to keep Whites, white and most importantly gratitude. We had no choice but to learn how to be grateful simply because many of us only had 2-3 white shirts/pairs of socks for school and really who could tell? We never relied on washing machines as we had no access to them and the Elders were adamant that the only way to know how to take care of your white clothes was to wash them by hand. We however cannot afford to let these traditions, though they may seem small and insignificant be lost and not passed on to the next generation because these are life skills that once engraved in the mind will teach a young woman self sufficiency and she be able to function in any space. Also, should a washing machine not work you should be able to wash + properly...Womb PriestessTo the ancestors who came before us who did this work and selected us for this lifetime to continue. Blessings Everyone, we know it's been a while since our last post however we can assure you it was for a beautiful cause. Also, because of the nature of our work (Wholistic Womb Practitioners) we have to stay present in each moment which requires a lot of discipline in order for us to stay focus, grounded and in alignment with our vision... NonetheLess....Meet Number 1!...We were gifted with the opportunity to take this Lovely soul and young Goddess in Training through her Rites of Passage to Black Woman-Hood Our Rites of Passage Program & Ceremony was lead and facilitated by our Founder and Head Therapist of Pink Femunique - Womb Priestess
To say this experience was Magikal is an understatement! It was like birthing a new being with the support of the entire community and her village. We got to witness a true Metamorphosis and for that we are eternally grateful. We are thankful for all our Wise-Women, Comrades, Queens, Kings, Elders who have of their time to make this jouney powerful. We are grateful to have work along side you.
