With more months left in the Wet season (Summer), it is almost guaranteed that temperatures will increase and it will feel hotter. 🥵

Dehydration impacts your body, mind, mood and health negatively. Water is still the best way to hydrate and fight against the effects of heat and the sun. However, if you’re tired of drinking water or not a fan of the taste then you can EAT YOUR WATER.

It’s no surprise that the foods that keep you hydrated are plentiful during these hotter months and many of them we already consume or incorporate into our meals. Number 5 is one of our favourites. 😀

Saturdays are for S***e… Chicken S***e that is. 😊 Bajan Diet Designs provides healthier recipes to o the foods you love. Traditional Pudding and S***e can be high in sodium and fats we’re providing a recipe that is a healthier alternative but just as delicious. 😋 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐰 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬.

What you will need ⬇️
- 12 ounces of cooked skinless chicken
- 2 cucumbers, grated
- 1 medium onion, grated
- ½ small hot pepper, finely chopped
- ½ cup coarsely chopped parsley
- ¾ cup water
- ¼ tsp salt
- Juice of 1 lime

Let's get started ⬇️
- Combine all the ingredients together and mix well.
- Serve with steamed pudding and sliced cooked breadfruit or green banana
