Ramadan Health Advice
As we enter the blessed month of Ramadan, fasting is not only a spiritual journey but also a physical one. To maintain your health while fasting, please consider the following medical guidance:
1️⃣ Don’t Skip Suhoor/Sehri
Suhoor helps stabilize blood sugar and prevents extreme fatigue during the day. Choose complex carbohydrates (oats, brown rice), protein (eggs, yogurt), and healthy fats.
2️⃣ Hydrate Wisely
Drink adequate water between Iftar and Suhoor. Avoid excessive caffeine and sugary drinks, as they can cause dehydration.Drink at least 2.5-3 Litres of water and keep your health beautiful..
3️⃣ Break Your Fast Gently in Iftar
Start with dates and water. Avoid overeating fried and heavy foods immediately at Iftar to prevent acidity and digestive discomfort.
4️⃣ Manage Chronic Conditions Carefully
Patients with diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, or kidney issues should consult their physician before fasting. Medication timing may need adjustment.
5️⃣ Sleep & Energy Balance
Ensure proper rest. Sleep deprivation can weaken immunity and concentration.
6️⃣ Listen to Your Body
If you experience severe dizziness, chest pain, confusion, or persistent weakness — break your fast and seek medical attention. Health always comes first.
Ramadan is a time of discipline, reflection, and balance. Let us fast responsibly and protect our bodies — the trust given to us.Pray 5 times of Namaz and avoid all unnecessary habits. It is also a month of learning.
Wishing everyone a healthy and peaceful Ramadan.
