গাইনেকোমাস্টিয়া সার্জারি করা হয় যখন পুরুষদের ব্রেস্ট অতিরিক্ত বড় হয়।
এর ফলে সামাজিক ভাবে তারা খুবই হীনমন্যতায় ভূগতে থাকেন। সাধারণত হরমোনের সমস্যা, বংশগত বৈশিষ্ট্য, অতিরিক্ত ওজন ইত্যাদি বিভিন্ন কারণে পুরুষদের ব্রেস্ট অতিরিক্ত বড় হতে পারে। যে কারনেই হোক না কেন, একমাত্র সার্জারির মাধ্যমেই এই সমস্যার সমাধান করা সম্ভব।
