☕ New Coffee Spot Alert – Gulshan 2, Dhaka

📍 East Bengal Coffee Roasters | Near United Hospital, Gulshan-2

If you love specialty coffee, aesthetic cafés, and photogenic spaces, this one deserves a spot on your list.

✨ First Impression
The location is spot-on and the café looks dope, modern, and extremely Instagrammable. Minimal interiors, warm lighting, greenery, and coffee-centric aesthetics make it a great place for coffee dates, casual meetings, or solo downtime.

☕ What We Tried
• Americano – Bold, clean, slightly stronger than my usual preference but well-balanced
• Cold Brew Coffee – ⭐ The highlight. Smooth, refreshing, perfectly brewed
• Croissant – Flaky, buttery, beautifully textured and baked just right

🫘 Coffee Quality
They use imported coffee beans (outside Bangladesh) with an Arabic blend, and you can feel the focus on roast quality and brewing precision. They also supply coffee beans to individuals and other cafés, which says a lot about their credibility.

💰 Pricing
Approx. BDT 200–350 per person, which feels reasonable for specialty coffee in Gulshan.

⭐ Taste Score: 7.5/10
(Strong flavors, quality beans, excellent cold brew — slightly intense for lighter coffee drinkers)

🔍 Best For
• Coffee lovers
• Cold brew fans
• Café hopping in Gulshan
• Aesthetic & photogenic coffee shops
• Casual meetings & relaxed hangouts

✅ Final Verdict
A solid new addition to Dhaka’s specialty coffee scene. Great coffee, top-notch croissant, beautiful space — East Bengal Coffee Roasters is definitely worth a visit.

⭐ Breakfast at German Deli — BOGO but… should you go? 🤔🍳

______________________

Tried the BOGO Breakfast Platters at German Deli today and… let’s just say the offer was the best part of the meal. 😅

🥩 Steak Platter

Looks good ✔️
Tastes… okay-ish ✖️
• The fries? Crispy & reliable 🍟✨
• The ribeye? They called it medium rare, but I’ve had better… way better.
Meat felt confused — not juicy, not flavorful, just there.
• Gravy? Below average. The kind you quietly ignore on the side. 🥣😐

🍳 Classic Breakfast Platter
• Sausages looked like they needed a motivational speech 😭
• Taste? Awkward. Nothing to write home about.
• The whole platter felt… ordinary. Like a Sunday morning you didn’t ask for.

⏳ The Worst Part: Waiting Time

We were literally the only customers, yet it took them 1 hour+ to serve breakfast.
For a place called German Deli, the timing felt more like Bangladesh Railway Delay Edition. 🚂😩

Absolutely unacceptable for a breakfast experience.

💸 Price: BDT 500/person

⭐ Experience: 3.5/10

⭐ Taste: 4.5/10

📍 Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/WTgAFLrPsSGRfVrr6?g_st=ipc

🍽️ Final Verdict

Great BOGO deal, but food quality + painful waiting time = not worth it.
If you’re hungry, this place will test your patience and your expectations.

Would I return?
👉 Probably not.

🍢 LAHORE by IKitchen — Where Spice Meets Sophistication ✨

📍 House 8, Road 111, Gulshan-2, Dhaka
💸 Tk 1000–1500 per person
⭐ Taste: 7.5/10

This place is giving major aesthetic energy — green arches, chandeliers, even a mini pool inside 💚. Feels fancy but cozy — perfect for that weekend dinner flex or low-key food date.

🔥 Behari Beef Kabab — spicy, smoky, slightly tangy, and tender enough to make you forget your diet.
🥦 Mixed Veg Curry — literal plot twist — the veggies stole the spotlight. Mushrooms, tomatoes, and capsicum living their best sautéed life.
🍨 Kulfi — the showstopper. Sweet, creamy, and criminally good. If joy had a dessert form, this would be it.

Verdict: Great food, gorgeous space, and serious “gram it before you eat it” vibes 📸

🔥 Best Italian Food in Dhaka? Delivers! 🔥

Checked out the new Pizza da Wali outlet in Gulshan 2 (near Holey Artisan) — and wow, this place is setting the bar for authentic Italian in Dhaka. 🇮🇹✨

🍕 Margherita Pizza – Cheesy, stretchy, baked to perfection with imported ingredients. Pure Neapolitan vibes.
🍝 Aglio Olio – Garlicky, light, and full of flavor. Pasta cooked just right.

✅ Ambience – Cozy & modern with a chic counter space.
✅ Service – Quick and friendly.
✅ Price – Fair for the quality. 1000-1500Tk/person

If you’re a true pizza & pasta lover in Dhaka, this is a must-try spot. Easily one of my favorite foodie finds in the city. Solid 8/10 experience 👌

🍜 .dine – Honest Review

Ambience & Vibes
Hua is a Chinese fine dining restaurant in Dhaka. The place is small but elegant, with a few Instagram-worthy spots perfect for photos.

What We Tried
• 🥟 Pan-Fried Chives & Egg Dumplings – crispy and flavorful, the best dish of the night.
• 🐟 Steamed Whole Fish – well-prepared but not extraordinary.
• 🍗 La Zi Ji Chicken – authentic look with dried chili, but taste was just average.
• 🍚 Egg Fried Rice – simple yet outstanding, one of the best in Dhaka I’ve had.

Experience
The authentic Chinese food was decent overall, but only dumplings and fried rice stood out. Service and presentation lived up to the fine dining standards, but the high price made it feel less worth it.

Cost 💸
We spent 7,000+ BDT for the meal (2 person) – which felt overpriced for the taste and portion sizes.

Final Verdict
👉 Food Quality: 6/10
👉 Ambience: 4/5
👉 Value for Money: 2/5
👉 Overall: 5.5/10

📌 Would I return? Honestly, No. There are better Chinese restaurants in Dhaka for this price range.

✨ Review Time: Chef’s Table – Center Point (Airport Road) ✨

Tried food from Utshob & Blossom today. Honestly, compared to other Chef’s Table outlets, this one felt a bit underwhelming.

🍜 Egg Fried Noodles – Looked nice, but taste-wise quite bland. Needed more flavor kick.
🍗 Chicken Polau – Okay-ish. The rice was fine, but the Jali Kabab was a big disappointment.
🥟 Fuchka – Finally, a win! Properly seasoned, tangy, and spiced just right.
☕ Tea – Cold and flat. No tea aroma, no punch. Just sad.

🔎 This again raises the classic question:
👉 Why does the same restaurant chain taste different depending on the location?

📊 My Scores:
• Food Taste: ⭐️ 5/10
• Environment: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 7/10
• Service: Self-Service
💰 Cost: 300–700 BDT per person

Overall – a very average experience, not what I’d expect from Chef’s Table.

✨ Posh Vibes, Healthy Bites – Welcome to 🏩

If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to dine in a place built like a presidential safe house—House Café by Space is the answer. This café sits inside a sophisticated apartment complex designed for diplomats and corporate big shots. They already have branches in Tejgaon and Dhanmondi, but Gulshan 2 carries its own classy, polished vibe.

I tried three dishes: Mughlai Paratha, Crispy Chicken Salad, and Lemon Chicken with Beans & Rice.

🍽️ Food
Every dish tasted fresh and surprisingly light. They clearly focus on healthy cooking—imagine fries that don’t taste oily (still don’t know how they pulled that off). The Mughlai Paratha was the star: crispy outside, eggy and vegi inside—street food vibes but in a James Bond setting. The Lemon Chicken was mild, not overly tangy, paired with fluffy rice. The Crispy Chicken Salad was colorful and filling, though a bit too safe in flavor. Overall, it’s food that feels good for your health, even if it’s not the bold “flavor bomb” we’re used to from Dhaka eateries.

🏛️ Environment
Minimalist, modern, and very secure—you literally feel like your cholesterol needs a security clearance 😂. Spacious seating, quiet ambiance, and chic interiors make it ideal for meetings, casual brunch, or just taking a breather from city chaos.

👨‍🍳 Service
Super attentive staff. Food was served with care, timing was good, and they explained ingredients with a professional touch.

📸 Pro Tip: Visit in the morning for natural light and Instagram-worthy shots of the yard.

⭐ My Scores:
• Food: 7/10
• Environment: 8/10
• Service: 8.5/10

Cost: 700-1500Tk/person

Final Word: If you’re looking for a café that blends embassy-level security with health-conscious cooking, House Café is worth a stop. It’s not your typical Dhaka flavor overload, but it’s definitely a refreshing change.

🌆 – The New Rooftop Gem of Gulshan Avenue 🌆

Dhaka just got a serious upgrade in the dining scene with EPI Dhaka – a rooftop restaurant that’s hands down one of the most aesthetic spots in the city. From the moment you step in, it’s hard not to be impressed. The interiors are chic, modern, and fabulously detailed – every corner feels like it’s designed for the perfect Instagram shot ✨📸.

Now, let’s talk food 👇
🍔 Cluck Norris Sandwich (Buttermilk Chicken) – crispy, juicy, and well-seasoned. A real winner if you love a hearty sandwich.
🍞 EPI French Toast – golden, fluffy, topped with bananas & cream – indulgent yet comforting.

But what makes EPI Dhaka special isn’t just the food, it’s the entire experience – a mix of flavors, ambience, and warm service that makes you want to come back.

🔹 My Ratings:
• Food: 8.0/10
• Aesthetic: 9.5/10
• Service: 8.5/10

💎 Cost: 2000-3000Tk/person

If you’re searching for a spot in Gulshan that blends vibes + taste + aesthetics, EPI Dhaka is a must-visit. 🌿

🍲✨ Tried out Peyari in Gulshan-1 today ✨🍲

Went in with high expectations to try their famous Beef Tehari, but honestly, the experience was quite average.
• The shop is decent and fairly clean, but the service was slow — waiting too long for Tehari kills the mood.
• The Beef Tehari looked great but the taste didn’t live up to the hype.
• The tea was good, but the clay pot had a weird smell that spoiled the charm.

Surprising part? Most of the reviews online were glowing ⭐️ — but my visit told a different story. Sometimes hype ≠ reality. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Would I go back? Maybe for the tea, but not for the Tehari.

📍 Peyari, Gulshan-1

📍 Khao San – Uttara Outlet Review

Ambience:
Casual and simple setup. Service was polite, but the overall vibe and attentiveness didn’t quite match the energy I’ve experienced at their Gulshan-1 branch.

Food Quality & Taste:
I ordered Chicken Rice Noodles and a Chicken Rice Bowl (Egg Fried Rice, Chicken Fry, and Chicken in Pepper Sauce).
• Chicken Rice Noodles: Presentation was good, but the flavors felt muted. The seasoning lacked punch, and the noodles didn’t have the same depth of taste I’ve enjoyed at Gulshan-1.
• Chicken Rice Bowl: The egg fried rice was fine, chicken fry was decent, but the pepper chicken fell short in balance and richness of flavor.

Consistency:
The biggest issue here is the noticeable gap between outlets. Gulshan-1 sets a higher bar for flavor and ex*****on, while Uttara felt like a toned-down version of the brand’s usual standard.

Rating: ⭐ 5.5/10 for taste and quality.

Verdict:
If this was my first visit to Khao San, I’d call it “average.” But having tasted their Gulshan-1 dishes, I know this isn’t their best. Quality control across outlets would go a long way in maintaining the Khao San experience everywhere.

– A Mixed Bag of Flavors & Service

Dropped by Aaurhi & Tina’s Flavor Factory in Gulshan-1 today, eager to try out a couple of their signature items.

1️⃣ Luchi & Chicken Chaap – Nicely cooked, mild on spice, and topped with crispy fried onions that stole the show. Solid 7/10.

2️⃣ Aloo Paratha with Hari Kebab – The paratha? Absolute perfection – soft, flaky, and flavorful. The kebab, however, felt a bit one-note. They also served doi bundia, which was decent. I’d rate this plate 7.5/10 – mostly thanks to the paratha.

Now, here’s the twist…
The food quality? No complaints – fresh and tasty. But the service? That’s where things fell short. In a prime Gulshan-1 location, I expect service to match the setting – quick, smooth, and flawless. Unfortunately, my order was delayed because it wasn’t even sent to the kitchen at first. Serving time was painfully slow, and attention to detail was missing.

The saving grace? The owner was present, stepped in to fix the situation, and even went the extra mile – offering my chaap and halwa on the house. That personal touch turned what could have been a frustrating evening into a pretty decent one.

My takeaway: A little more focus on service efficiency, and this place could easily match its prime location with prime experience.

final verdict: 7/10

📍 Aynal, Uttara | Beef Curry Review
Classic. Familiar. Heavy.

Tried the beef curry from Aynal — one of Uttara’s more talked-about spots for traditional meals. What you get is a no-fuss, Bangladeshi-style beef dish: moderately spicy, deeply infused with traditional spices, and generously topped with oil (maybe too generously).

Taste-wise, it delivers that nostalgic home-cooked vibe. The meat is decently tender, the spice mix is bold but not overpowering. But the oil content? Let’s just say your stomach might call for a break after.

⚖️ Final verdict: 6.5/10
Good for an occasional craving — just not your everyday plate.
