Today, I present myself with the bold and perhaps unsuccessful attempt to discuss DNA and RNA through the lens of homeopathic philosophy (Hahnemann, Kent, Roberts, J.H. Allen). Basic knowledge of DNA/RNA is extremely important for a modern homeopathic physician, especially to understand patient reports and grasp the overall nature of diseases. However, this knowledge is not directly necessary for prescribing treatment in homeopathy, as homeopathy mainly treats based on symptoms, miasms, and constitution. Yet, in many cases, such knowledge becomes useful.
If any mistakes are found, I humbly request your kind forgiveness. This is but a humble effort with limited knowledge.
Let us now begin the main discussion:
Let us assume your body is a kingdom. DNA is the constitution of the kingdom—where all rules, history, social weaknesses, and future possibilities are written. Once the constitution is documented, it does not change easily as long as the king of the kingdom remains in power. Similarly, Hahnemann used the term “vital force” to refer to this deep layer (we may think of it this way), from which the root causes of diseases arise. When investigating a patient’s history, we must search for the imbalance of the vital force. This is the constitution of homeopathy.
RNA, then, is the messenger and media of the kingdom—it conveys the contents of the constitution (DNA) to the public and encourages action. When an issue or infection arises, the messenger becomes quickly active; that is, RNA generates symptoms and alerts the brain, causing disruption in bodily functions.
Hahnemann simplified DNA/RNA by stating:
“The cause of chronic diseases lies in a deep, dynamic, miasmatic disturbance.”
Here, this “deep dynamic disturbance” refers to DNA-level miasmatic distortion, which is congenital and lies dormant in every human’s body and mind. Hahnemann also said that symptoms are merely the external expression—manifested through the RNA level.
Now let us briefly explore what the great homeopathic thinkers after Hahnemann have said, and how their thoughts may relate to DNA/RNA:

J.H. Allen
J.H. Allen was a renowned homeopath who extensively discussed miasms, chronic diseases, and genetic inheritance. Although he wrote before the discovery of modern genetics or DNA/RNA (DNA structure was discovered by Watson and Crick in 1953), some of his interpretations can be compared with current genetic understanding.
Genetic Inheritance of Miasms:
Allen believed chronic miasms (like Psora, Sycosis, Syphilis) are inherited across generations. This concept parallels modern ideas of genetic inheritance—where DNA transmits disease susceptibility. Just as DNA carries genetic information, Allen believed miasms transfer disease tendencies from one generation to the next.
DNA & RNA Explanation:
Allen never used the terms DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) or RNA (Ribonucleic Acid), since they were discovered long after his time. However, his writings on cellular processes, hereditary traits, and tissue weaknesses can today be seen as foundational understandings of molecular genetics.
Homeopathy & Genetic Influence:
Allen believed that homeopathic treatment could neutralize the effects of miasms. From a modern view, even though homeopathy doesn’t act directly on genes or cells, it restores balance to the vital force, which awakens the body’s immune response and defends against inherited weaknesses.
In summary, though J.H. Allen did not speak directly about DNA/RNA, his ideas about miasms and inheritance can be contextually compared to modern genetics.

James Tyler Kent
Kent famously said:
“Treat the man in disease, not the disease in man.”
This statement means: Don’t treat only the external symptoms (RNA-level expression), but understand and treat the underlying constitutional state (DNA level).
For example:
A patient repeatedly suffers from colds or skin problems. If you treat them at the acute level with Allium Cepa (RNA-level), the symptoms may temporarily subside.
However, if the patient has a Psoric constitution, treating with Sulphur or Psorinum (DNA-level constitutional remedy) may bring lasting recovery. Of course, the remedy must match the patient’s complete picture for this to work effectively.

Dr. Roberts
Roberts said:
“The suppression of symptoms without removing the underlying cause is dangerous.”
This means if you suppress only the RNA-level symptoms without addressing the DNA-level miasmatic root, the disease can internalize and shift from one organ or system to another—causing more harm than healing.

In Summary:
• DNA represents the core structure, miasmatic depth, congenital weakness, and constitutional/anti-miasmatic remedies
(e.g. Sulphur, Medorrhinum)
• RNA carries information and external symptoms, acute reaction
(e.g. Aconite, Belladonna)
There are even remedies prepared from DNA and RNA. If we can master these two remedies, many clinical complexities may be resolved—this is my hope.

আজ DNA ও RNA -কে হোমিওপ্যাথিক দর্শনের (হ্যানিম্যান, কেন্ট, রবার্টস,জে এইচ এলেন) দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি দিয়ে আলোচনার ব্যর্থ চেষ্টা ও দুঃসাহসিকতা নিয়ে হাজির হলাম। ডিএনএ/আরএনএ সম্পর্কে মৌলিক জ্ঞান রাখা একজন আধুনিক হোমিওপ্যাথিক চিকিৎসকের জন্য অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ, বিশেষ করে রোগীর রিপোর্ট বুঝতে ও সমগ্র রোগের প্রকৃতি উপলব্ধি করতে। তবে চিকিৎসা নির্ধারণের জন্য সরাসরি এই জ্ঞান জরুরি নয় হোমিওপ্যাথি মূলত লক্ষণ, মায়াজম ও কনস্টিটিউশন অনুযায়ী চিকিৎসা দেয়া হয়,তবে অনেক ক্ষেত্রেই তবুও দরকার হয়।
ভুলভ্রান্তি হলে ক্ষমা সুন্দর দৃষ্টিতে দেখবেন।
ক্ষুদ্র জ্ঞানের ক্ষুদ্র প্রচেষ্টা মাত্র।
মূল আলচনা শুরু করা যাক,
ধরা যাক, আপনার শরীর একটি রাজ্য।ডিএনএ হলো রাজ্যের সংবিধান (Constitution) যেখানে রাজ্যের সব নিয়ম, ইতিহাস,সামাজিক দুর্বলতা, এবং ভবিষ্যতের সম্ভাবনা সহ সকল বিষয়ে লেখা আছে।একবার সংবিধান লিপিবদ্ধ হলে তা সেই রাজ্যের রাজা থাকা আবস্তায় সংবিধান পরিবর্তন হয় না,করলেও সহজে হয় না।ঠিক তেমনি হ্যানিমান স্যার সংবিধান বলতেন "vital force"-এর গভীর স্তরকে বুঝিয়েছেন (ভাবতেই পারি/বলা যায়)যেখান থেকে রোগের আসল কারণ জন্মায়।রোগীর ইতিহাস খুঁজতে গেলে আমাদের জীবনীশক্তির( Vital Force) তারতম্যহীনতাকে খুঁজতে হয়।এটা হোমিওপ্যাথির সংবিধান।
এবং
আরএনএ হলো সেই রাজ্যের বার্তাবাহক ও সংবাদপত্র - সংবিধানে (ডিএনএ) কি লেখা আছে তা নিয়ে জনসাধারণকে জানায় এবং কাজ করতে উৎসাহ দেয়। যখন কোনো সমস্যা বা ইনফেকশন হয়, তখন বার্তাবাহক দ্রুত সক্রিয় হয়ে পড়ে অর্থাৎ আরএনএ রোগের উপসর্গ তৈরি করে আমাদের মস্তিষ্কে জানান দেয় দেহযন্ত্রকে অচল করে।
হ্যানিমান স্যার ডিএনএ/আরএনএ সহজীকরন করে বলেছেন “The cause of chronic diseases lies in a deep, dynamic, miasmatic disturbance.”
এখানে এই “deep dynamic disturbance” হলো ডিএনএ স্তরের মায়াজমেটিক বিকৃতি যা জন্মগত ও সুপ্ত থাকে প্রতিটা মানবদেহে ও মনের গভীর স্তরে।হ্যানিমান স্যার এটাও বলেন, উপসর্গ হলো কেবল বাহ্যিক প্রকাশ মাত্র যা আরএনএ স্তরে মধ্যে দিয়ে প্রতিফলিত হয় বা প্রকাশ পায়।
হ্যানিমান স্যারের পরে যে সকল রথিমহারথিগণ আছেন বা হোমিওপ্যাথি চিকিৎসা বিজ্ঞানকে সহজ ও প্রান্জল করেছেন তারা কি বলেছেন তা অল্প করে আলোচনা করা যাক।
জে এইস এলেন (J.H. Allen) ছিলেন একজন প্রখ্যাত হোমিওপ্যাথ এবং তার লেখায় তিনি মায়াজম ও ক্রনিক রোগ ও জেনেটিক উত্তরাধিকার নিয়ে ব্যাখ্যা দিয়েছেন।যদিও তিনি আধুনিক জেনেটিক বা ডিএনএ-আরএনএ আবিষ্কারের অনেক আগেই লিখেছেন, তবে তার কিছু ব্যাখ্যা আজকের ডিএনএ ও আরএনএ বোঝার সাথে তুলনামূলকভাবে বিশ্লেষণ করা যায়। এখানে তার দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি এবং ডিএনএ ও আরএন এর সাথে কীভাবে সম্পর্কিত হতে পারে তা তুলে ধরার ব্যর্থ প্রচেষ্টা করছি মাত্র।
ভুল হলে ক্ষমা সুন্দর দৃষ্টিতে দেখার অনুরোধ করছি এবং সঠিকটা সংযোজন করে আমাদের মত ক্ষুদ্রদের উৎসাহ প্রদান করবেন।
জেনেটিক উত্তরাধিকার সুত্রে মায়াজমঃ এলেন বিশ্বাস করতেন যে ক্রনিক মায়াজম (যেমন সাইকোসিস, সিফিলিস, সোরার) বংশপরম্পরায় চলে আসে। এই ধারণা বর্তমান জেনেটিক উত্তরাধিকার বা ডিএনএ-এর মাধ্যমে রোগপ্রবণতা বংশে চলার ধারণার সাথে সাদৃশ্যপূর্ণ। ডিএনএ যেভাবে জেনেটিক তথ্য বহন করে, এলেনও মনে করতেন যে মায়াজমের মাধ্যমে রোগের প্রবণতা এক প্রজন্ম থেকে আরেক প্রজন্মে স্থানান্তরিত হয়।
ডিএনএ ও আরএনএ নিয়ে ব্যাখ্যা:-জে এইস এলেন ডিএনএ (DNA: Deoxyribonucleic Acid) বা আরএনএ (RNA: Ribonucleic Acid) শব্দ ব্যবহার করেননি, কারণ এগুলোর আবিষ্কার তার লেখার অনেক পরে (ডিএনএ গঠন ১৯৫৩ সালে ওয়াটসন ও ক্রিক ব্যাখ্যা করেন)। তবে তার লেখায় কোষীয় কার্যক্রম, বংশগত তথ্য এবং টিস্যু দুর্বলতা নিয়ে যে আলোচনা আছে, তা আজকের পারমাণবিক জেনেটিক বোঝাপড়ার ভিত্তি হিসেবে বিবেচিত হতে পারে।
হোমিওপ্যাথি ও জেনেটিক প্রভাব:-এলেন মনে করতেন হোমিওপ্যাথিক চিকিৎসা দিয়ে মায়াজমের প্রভাব প্রশমিত করা যায়। আধুনিক দৃষ্টিতে বলা যায়, হোমিওপ্যাথি কোষীয় বা জেনেটিক স্তরে সরাসরি কাজ না করলেও এলেনের মতে এটি জীবনীশক্তির ভারসাম্য পুনঃস্থাপন করে, যা দেহের স্বাভাবিক প্রতিরোধ ক্ষমতা ও জিনগত দুর্বলতার বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিক্রিয়া জাগিয়ে তোলে।
এককথায় বলা যায় বা যা বুঝতে পারি তা হলো জে এইস এলেন ডিএনএ ও আরএনএ নিয়ে সরাসরি কিছু বলেননি, তবে তার মায়াজমেটিক ও উত্তরাধিকার সংক্রান্ত দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি আজকের জেনেটিক্স ধারণার সাথে তুলনামূলকভাবে মূল্যায়নযোগ্য।
এবার আসি মহামতি কেন্ট কি বলেছেন,
কেন্ট স্যার বলেছেন“Treat the man in disease, not the disease in man.”
এই কথাটির অর্থ বোঝায়, রোগের বাহ্যিক লক্ষণ (RNA স্তরের উপসর্গ) নয়, বরং অন্তর্নিহিত constitutional গঠন (DNA স্তর) বুঝে চিকিৎসা দিতে হবে।
উদাহরণ দেয়া যাক,
একজন রোগী বারবার সর্দি-কাশি বা স্কিনের সমস্যা নিয়ে আসছে। আপনি যদি তাকে Allium Cepa দিয়ে অ্যাকিউট লেভেলে চিকিৎসা দেন (RNA স্তর), তবে কিছুদিনে উপসর্গ চলে যাবে।
কিন্তু যদি তিনি Psoric constitution-এর হন, তবে Sulphur বা Psorinum দিয়ে DNA স্তরে constitutional চিকিৎসা করলে দীর্ঘস্থায়ী আরোগ্য সম্ভব।যদিও রোগীর সাথে ঔষধের/ রেমেডির সাদৃশ্য হতে হবে তা হলেই তা সম্ভব।
এবার রবার্টস কি ভাবে দেখতেন তা নিয়ে বলার চেষ্টা করি,
রবার্টস বলেছেন “The suppression of symptoms without removing the underlying cause is dangerous.”
এই কথাটার অর্থ যা বোঝা যায় তা হলো যখন আপনি শুধুমাত্র RNA স্তরের উপসর্গ দমন করেন, কিন্তু DNA স্তরের মায়াজমকে না ছুঁয়ে যান, তখন রোগ ভিতরে সরে গিয়ে ডিপার্টমেন্ট চেঞ্জ করে এক অঙ্গ থেকে আরেক অঙ্গে চলে যায় এবং রোগীর ভালোর থেকে ক্ষতিটাই বেশি হয়।
এক কথায় বলতে গেলে যা বোঝা যায় DNA মূল গঠন ও মায়াজম গভীর, জন্মগত দুর্বলতাা Constitutional, Anti-miasmatic (যেমন: Sulphur, Medorrhinum)
RNA তথ্যের বহনকারী ও উপসর্গ বাহ্যিক প্রতিক্রিয়া Acute (যেমন: Aconite, Belladonna)।এ ছারাও আমাদের ঔষধ আছে DNA এবং RNA
আমরা যদি এই দুইটি ঔষধকে ভালোভাবে রপ্ত করতে পারি তা হলে অনেক জটলা খুলবে বলেই আশাবাদী।
