At last Professor Nazmul sir & General Mostafizur Rahman, the than Director Dmch inaugurated our long waiting impatient service in word 23 with thoracic surgery department.

Soon our OPD service gained popularity. 60-80 patients per day attended.
Our next milestone service was video Bronchoscopy. With the help of Professor Nazmul Ahssn sir & Professor Abdur Rahman sir(Head of critical care &anaesthesia) it was started in OT complex. From then we are providing the service.

First step was to set up an OPD service. Our Director sir was kind enough to give us two OPD slaugts in a week in Medicine OPD.
From first week of September 2010 our journey begins with Specialized Respiratory Medicine OPD.

2. Professor Ismail Khan,the than Vice Principal DMC
3. Professor HAM Nazmul Ahsan, the than Professor & Head of the Department of Medicine.
4. Brig General Mallik, the than Director DMCH
& all other Faculties & Staffs of DMC&H.

This is the first & only full flazed Respiratory Medicine Department outside NIDCH.

The main initiative was taken by Professor (Dr.) Mirza Mohammad Hiron, the than Director of NIDCH.

The department was established on 25 th May, 2010 with the following Faculties.

2. Dr. Md. Mohiuddin Ahmad
Associate Professor
3. Dr. Adnan Yusuf Choudhury
Assistant Professor
4. Dr. Md. Aminul Islam
Assistant Professor.
