What is Diagnosis??

A peptic ulcer is a painful sore on the lining of the stomach (gastric ulcer) or upper small intestine (duodenal ulcer) caused mainly by H. pylori bacteria or long-term use of NSAIDs (like ibuprofen), allowing stomach acid to damage the protective mucus layer, leading to symptoms like burning pain, bloating, and heartburn, treatable with antibiotics, acid reducers, or lifestyle changes, but some cases may need surgery.

Types:
•Gastric Ulcer: In the stomach lining.
•Duodenal Ulcer: In the first part of the small intestine (Duodenum).

Common Causes:
•Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) bacteria: A common bacterial infection that weakens the stomach's protective mucus.
•Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs): Regular use of drugs like aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen.
•Lifestyle: Smoking, excessive alcohol, caffeine, and stress can worsen ulcers but aren't primary causes.
•Rare Causes: Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (Excess acid production).

Symptoms:
•Dull, burning stomach pain (worse between meals or at night).
•Feeling of fullness, bloating, belching.
•Heartburn, nausea, and vomiting.

Severe symptoms needing urgent care: •Black/tarry stools
•vomiting blood
•sharp/sudden abdominal pain
•severe weakness.
