Steroid , the magic drug!!! ✨✨✨Even though steroid has a general bad reputation , when used judiciously it can do WONDERS. This 12- year -old visited me with a large ganglion on her left wrist ( first photo) . Per first line of treatment , I’d performed Intralesional Injection of Triamcinolone following aspiration and advised a second session 2 weeks later. Applied firm bandage and gave simple painkiller. She came today and the lesion has vanished ! (Second photo) I found no swelling on palpation and no other abnormalities. Patient was so happy that she didn’t have to be pricked again despite being numbed with local anaesthetics the last time. Usually , these take about 2-3 sessions for the ganglion to vanish but this was a first for me!

Name of operation : Excision biopsy of multiple bilateral fibroadenoma under G/A

Indication : Multiple and giant fibroadenoma of both breasts

Yesterday I assisted a case of multiple and giant B/L fibroadenoma. Young female pt aged 21 years. We managed to excise 12 lumps however there were few more , smaller and deep seated ones. While Fibroadenoma is a benign condition , patient’s preference and size > 5cm are two very strong indications of excision ( which were applicable for this paticular patient )

Indication : Chronic Non -healing ulcer in right lateral edge of tongue . Past history of tongue bite and betel leaf consumption.

HPR : Pyogenic granuloma ( a very common consequence of trauma )

Patient has been referred to Dental Surgeon for further Mx of oral condition and teethache.
