Dr. Helal Uddin Ahmed is a renowned Psychiatrist with vast work experience
and sound knowledge in mental health. He graduated in 1999 from Chittagong Medical College and completed MD
(Psychiatry) in 2011 from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSSMU),
Dhaka. Received fellowship training on Child Psychiatry from ‘Fondazione Child’,
Italy and trained on ‘Autism and Neurodevelopmental disa
bilities’ from South
Korea. He also received a fellowship from Japanese Society of Psychiatry and
Neurology (2010), Indo-Global Psychiatric Initiative fellowship (2011) and ‘Y-Mind
Fellowship’ from Sao Paulo-Brazil (2013). Dr. Ahmed worked as a Temporary
Advisor of WHO-Bangladesh, in the field of mental health and substance abuse
for a short tenure in 2012. He is the Area Coordinator of Australasia region of Early
Career Psychiatrists Council of WPA (World Psychiatric Association). He has 60 plus publications as author or co-author and presented more than
50 scientific papers in international conferences held in Bangladesh, Germany,
Argentina, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, India, Brazil,
Canada, Nepal, Bhutan, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Myanmar, Italy & Spain. Dr. Helal has more than 500 popular write up on mental health issue, published
in national daily and weekly newspapers. Dr. Helal is a very familiar Mental

Dr. Helal is guest lecturer /trainers of Institute of Social Welfare and Research
