A remarkable step toward ensuring better nutrition for students was taken as Khaja Yunus Ali Laboratory School & College officially inaugurated its Pushti Canteen on campus. The initiative has been implemented by SafeBite Schools, with generous support from the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) and the SUN Youth Network Bangladesh.
The newly opened Pushti Canteen aims to make safe, nutritious, and affordable meals accessible to every student. The canteen has been designed to encourage healthy eating habits and to create an environment where students learn the importance of balanced nutrition in their daily lives.
According to the organizers, the canteen features a carefully curated menu with fresh, hygienic, and locally sourced food items. Alongside providing meals, the initiative includes nutrition awareness materials and activities to help students develop long-term healthy habits.
Teachers and school authorities of Khaja Yunus Ali Laboratory School & College welcomed the initiative, stating that nutritious food plays a crucial role in improving students’ concentration, academic performance, and overall wellbeing. Students also expressed their enthusiasm, noting the variety of healthy and delicious options available at the canteen.
