Fakir Apparels Sustainability Milestone: Journey to Circularity

Fakir Apparels is proud to be the first facility in the country, certified by OceanSafe, to develop and integrate NaNea biodegradable polyester into our product range. This achievement recognizes our commitment to fashion circularity; setting a benchmark for sustainable manufacturing and environmental stewardship in the region.

What is NaNea?
• Next-Gen Biodegradable Polyester: NaNea is the first synthetic textile material that is Cradle-to-Cradle (C2C) certified.
• Circular Design: Developed to replace conventional polyester in performance and cost, NaNea is biodegradable in both soil and marine environments under specific conditions.
• Non-Toxic: The fiber is toxicant-free, making it a safer choice for people and planet.

The Dilata Project - One Jacket For All!

Following up on our ISPO Award win in 2023, we are beyond thrilled to announce that our new and innovative designs - Dilata 3L Jacket and Dilata Insulator Jacket have both been recognized and nominated for the ISPO Award 2024!
The two unique, durable, expandable and unisex jackets in the Dilata program allow people of different sizes or build to seamlessly use the same jacket.
Designed with a circular philosophy, they are also 100% mono-material from thread to trims, in order to facilitate reincarnation at end-of-life.
As a step-in reducing consumption, these garments are perfect if you want to downsize your wardrobe, share jackets with family and friends or even put it up for rental!
