The Dilata Project - One Jacket For All!

Following up on our ISPO Award win in 2023, we are beyond thrilled to announce that our new and innovative designs - Dilata 3L Jacket and Dilata Insulator Jacket have both been recognized and nominated for the ISPO Award 2024!
The two unique, durable, expandable and unisex jackets in the Dilata program allow people of different sizes or build to seamlessly use the same jacket.
Designed with a circular philosophy, they are also 100% mono-material from thread to trims, in order to facilitate reincarnation at end-of-life.
As a step-in reducing consumption, these garments are perfect if you want to downsize your wardrobe, share jackets with family and friends or even put it up for rental!

In celebration of Mental Health Day, Fakir Apparels Ltd. hosted an insightful training on “Psychological Resilience” led by the esteemed Dr. Sayedul Ashraf Kushal followed by a rejuvenating Yoga Session.

Dr. Kushal, an expert in psychiatry with a global background—MBBS (DMC), MD (BSMU), Fellow of the Japanese Society of Psychiatry & Neurology, and Member of the American Psychiatric Association—shared valuable tools on building mental strength, coping strategies, and enhancing emotional well-being.

Our team left the session feeling more empowered and mentally prepared to face life’s challenges with resilience. 💪

His Excellency Charles Whiteley, Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Bangladesh Ambassador, visited Fakir Apparels to learn about how Fakir Apparels is striving to lead the way in sustainability in the RMG landscape through its various social and environmental initiatives.

The management shared its sustainability roadmap and discussed key challenges on the way and how it’s working with key stakeholders such as brands and EU policy makers to overcome these challenges. They discussed post GSP scenario and the importance of continued trade growth between EU and Bangladesh to aid sustainability and protect millions of livelihoods employed in the RMG sector.

Fakir Apparels from Bangladesh, along with H&M, represented Bangladesh in Brussels with a four-country delegation to the EU Trade Commission. They engaged with the EU Director General of Trade, discussing key trade policies and the impact on economic, social, and environmental aspects. This meeting marked the first time policymakers met with manufacturers from developing nations to understand the garment sector's perspective. Topics included LDC graduation, GSP+ importance for economic growth, and sustainability policies. Manufacturers welcomed EU sustainability policies but expressed caution on potential disruptions to supply chains. They emphasized the need for support in technology, innovation, and investments from economic blocks like the EU to accelerate policy adoption.
