Rehab progress is not a straight line. Function gradually improves over time. Symptoms (like pain or discomfort) may go up and down. These ups and downs are a normal part of recovery. Symptom flare-ups donât mean you're getting worse. The graph shows a wavy symptom line and a steady function line. This means you can feel worse even while getting stronger. Patience and consistency are key in rehab. Focus on the long-term improvement in function. Healing is a process, progress is rarely perfect, but it's happening.
