Alhamdulillah ! With the help of Great Allah Subhanahutayala, I wish to announce that We have published an article titled “ Application of Three compound Extracted from Cynodon dactylon against Streptococcus Mutans Biofilm formation to prevent Oral disease” published by (MDPI) included with Scimago Journal Rank (SJR) with highly h-index. The best Quartile for this Journal is Q1.
Key points of Our study:
Title: Application of three compounds extracted from C against Streptococcus mutans biofilm formation to prevent oral diseases
Statement of the problem: Streptococcus mutans bacterial biofilm is known to be a major causative microorganism for dental plaque formation which is acknowledged to be associated with the biofilm formation and inhibition of biofilm formation is mandatory for maintaining good oral health. The aim of this study was to detect the adhesion strength of the S. mutans bacterial biofilm in 100 cases of the Rajshahi region and evaluate the effectiveness of different compound extracts of C. dactylon on the S. mutans bacterial biofilm.
Methodology and theoretical orientation: A longitudinal study using MSB agar medium with microtiter plate biofilm assay method, column chromatographic techniques and Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) with spectrophotometric techniques are utilized for the detection of adhesion strength of S.mutans bacterial biofilm and identification of three specific compounds from C. dactylon.
Findings: After finishing our work, three specific compounds from C. dactylon were discovered from this study named as- compound 3,7,11,15 tetramethyl hexadec-2-4dien 1-o1, compound 3,7,11,15 tetramethylhexadec-2-en-1-o1 from phytol derivatives, and stigmasterol. Results indicated that the compound of 3,7,11,15-tetramethyl-hexadec-2-en-1-ol exhibited the highest antibiofilm activities on S. mutans bacteria than other compound extracts. The maximum inhibition was (80.10%) in the case of patient no. 17 with a value of p (p
