It might be hard to believe, but the SleepSpace algorithm on Apple Watch is more accurate than Oura and Apple Watch for detecting sleep stages. And we have the data to prove it!

The reason for this is that SleepSpace activates high data resolution mode of the Apple Watch. It drains the battery a bit more, but it produces more granular sleep stage data as shown in the above image. Additionally the algorithm was built from thousands of nights of polysomnography data.

Do you know what the most important variable for sleep health is?

The answer is ensuring the you are not sleep deprived. It is also important to understand that better sleep quality and a stronger circadian rhythm are key factors that can reduce the likelihood of being sleep deprived.

Sleep deprivation has been linked to:
❌ Daytime fatigue
❌ Increased likelihood of every chronic disease (cancer, heart disease, etc)
❌ Inability to to make clear decisions
