5 Ex-Hostage IDF Observation Soldiers Complete Rehabilitation at Israel's Rabin Medical Center
Six months after being admitted to RMC’s Returning Hostages Unit, five freed survivors of Hamas captivity — Daniela, Liri, Naama, Karina, and Agam — have completed their intensive rehabilitation and entered the next stage: long-term monitoring and community-based care.
The check-up day model, pioneered by Prof. Noa Eliakim-Raz (Head of the Returning Hostages Unit) and Dr. Michael Bahar (Head of Rehabilitation), ensures survivors continue to receive personalized treatment — from physician exams and imaging to physiotherapy, nutrition, and occupational therapy.
“For the first time in six months, the five observers returned to our Unit, which symbolizes for them the passage from captivity to freedom. Their rehabilitation — and ours as a nation — will not be complete until all 50 hostages return.” — Prof. Noa Eliakim-Raz, Rabin Medical Center
In a moving moment, the women also recreated their reunion photo from the day Agam returned, capturing both resilience and hope.
Rabin Medical Center remains committed to providing world-class medical care, and to standing with survivors, their families, and the nation until every hostage is home. Learn more about how you can support Rabin Medical Center by visiting www.afrmc.org.
