🫵রাশিয়া পোশাক কারখানা বাংলাদেশ স্থানান্তর

👉শ্রমিক সংকট ও উৎপাদন খরচ বেড়ে যাওয়ায় রাশিয়ার সবচেয়ে বড় পোশাক প্রস্তুতকারক কোম্পানিগুলো বাংলাদেশসহ অন্য দেশগুলোতে সরিয়ে নেওয়ার পরিকল্পনা করছে দেশটি। এর মধ্যে রয়েছে গ্লোরিয়া জিনস নামের পোশাক কোম্পানি। রাশিয়াজুড়ে গ্লোরিয়া জিনসের ১৮টি কারখানা রয়েছে। তারা মূলত পোশাক ও জুতো তৈরি করে।

সম্প্রতি রুশ গণমাধ্যম কমারসান্তকে উদ্ধৃত করে ইউক্রেনের অনলাইন সংবাদপত্র ইউক্রেইনস্কা প্রাভদা জানিয়েছে, রাশিয়ার পোশাকশিল্পে দক্ষ কর্মীর সংকট দিনে দিনে গভীর হচ্ছে। ২০২৪ সালের তৃতীয় প্রান্তিকে দেশটিতে শ্রমিক-ঘাটতি আগের তুলনায় অনেক বেড়েছে। শ্রমিক-সংকটের পাশাপাশি রাশিয়ায় তৈরি কাঁচামাল ও আনুষঙ্গিক উপকরণের মানও খারাপ। ফলে পোশাক খাতের ব্যবসায়ীদের অন্য দেশ থেকে পণ্য জোগাড় করতে হচ্ছে।

এ ছাড়া পশ্চিমা দেশগুলো রাশিয়ার ওপর অর্থনৈতিক নিষেধাজ্ঞা দিয়ে রেখেছে। এর ফলে বিদেশ থেকে সেলাই করার যন্ত্রপাতি আমদানি করা রুশ ব্যবসায়ীদের জন্য কঠিন হয়ে পড়েছে। কারণ, নিষেধাজ্ঞার মধ্যে এসব আমদানির বিপরীতে দাম পরিশোধ করা যাচ্ছে না।

এ বিষয়টি নিয়ে কথা বলতে গ্লোরিয়া জিনস কোম্পানিটির সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করা হলেও তারা কোনো মন্তব্য করতে অস্বীকৃতি জানায় বলে প্রতিবেদনে উল্লেখ কার হয়েছে।

এতে আরও বলা হয়, একসময় চীন ছিল রাশিয়ার পোশাক প্রস্তুতকারকদের আগ্রহের কেন্দ্রবিন্দুতে। কিন্তু রুশ ব্র্যান্ডগুলো এখন আর চীনে যেতে খুব একটা আগ্রহী নয়। ফ্যাশনশিল্পের সঙ্গে জড়িত এক প্রতিনিধি বিষয়টি ব্যাখ্যা করে বলেন, বর্তমানে চীনে শ্রমিক মজুরি বাংলাদেশ কিংবা উজবেকিস্তানের তুলনায় অনেক বেশি।

তাই কোম্পানিটি তাদের উৎপাদনব্যবস্থা ভিয়েতনাম, বাংলাদেশ বা উজবেকিস্তানে সরিয়ে নেওয়ার পরিকল্পনা করছে। কারণ উজবেকিস্তানে তুলার উৎপাদন হয়, সে কারণে কাঁচামালের স্থিতিশীল সরবরাহ রয়েছে। এসব দেশে ভালো মানের শিল্পসুবিধা বিদ্যমান। ফলে কাঁচামালের সরবরাহ কিংবা উৎপাদন খরচ নিয়ে কোনো ঝামেলা পোহাতেও হয় না।

#মোংলা বন্দরের সক্ষমতার বৃদ্ধির ধারাবাহিকতায় এবার যুক্ত হচ্ছে আধুনিক মানের ছয়টি জলযান। বন্দরের কাজের সুবিধার জন্য ৭৬৭ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে কেনা হচ্ছে এসব জলযান। ছয়টি জলযানের মধ্যে এ বছরের শেষে বন্দরে আসবে #হংকংয়ের #চিউলি #শিপইয়ার্ডে নির্মিত দুটি #টাগবোট। বাকি চারটি জলযান আসবে আগামী বছরের জুনে। তবে সেগুলো বাংলাদেশে তৈরি হচ্ছে। এর মধ্যে #সার্স_অ্যান্ড_রেসকিউ_ভ্যাসেল তৈরি হচ্ছে #খুলনা #শিপইয়ার্ডে, আর বাকি তিনটি তৈরি হচেছ #নারায়াণগঞ্জের #কর্ণফুলী #শিপইয়ার্ডে।

Swedish fashion giant H&M has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) towards a circular and climate neutral garment sector in Bangladesh.

Helena Helmersson, CEO of H&M, and BGMEA president Faruque Hassan signed the MoU in Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh which has become one of H&M's largest production countries since it began sourcing there more than 40 years ago.

Bangladesh's ranking on the World Bank's Logistic Performance Index (LPI) 2023 has improved, jumping to the 88th position from the 100th among 139 countries in the latest report published on April 23. The LPI measures a country's ability to move goods across borders with speed and reliability. Although Bangladesh's improvement of 12 notches seems significant, there is still much room for improvement to compete in the global race.

According to the LPI report, Bangladesh scored 2.60 out of 5 on the scale, with Customs scoring the lowest at 2.30. India's rank moved up six places from 44th in 2018 to 38th in 2023, while Vietnam scores 43 from 45 in 2018, and Singapore tops the list with a score of 4.3.

Unfortunately, Customs scores lower than other sectors in the LPI, reducing their performance by 0.30 scales instead of increasing. The National Board of Revenue's (NBR) downgrading performance with their poor efficiency levels is extremely unacceptable in digital Bangladesh, which is well-patronized by the government.

Additionally, the attached claim of the Dhaka Customs Agent Association reveals that customs clearance has been affected in Dhaka EPZ & Adamjee EPZ. NBR stopped C&F Agents from submitting the entry in Asycuda World System with the given password by the Association without pre-notification. This seems like a lack of accountability and pre-planning/study in their work, which is a good example of NBR's poor performance.

Therefore, Bangladesh urgently requires making a National Logistic Policy to address reliable supply chain connections focusing on six aspects of logistics performance: trade- and transport-related infrastructure, customs and border management, logistics services quality, timeliness of shipments, ability to track and trace, and the availability of competitively priced international shipments alongside full cross-border digitalization (paperless, faceless & contactless customs) with full logistics visibility. This is earnestly required to take the country's competitiveness to the next level in terms of global trade and investment.
