Motiur Rahman Khan Memorial Hospital

Motiur Rahman Khan Memorial Hospital was established in my father's name and it was built on my late father's land. He had an intention to serve the poor villagers through a hospital which was not fulfilled when he was alive. To fulfill his dream, I initiated building the hospital, being inspired by my good friend Dr Husayn Al Mahdi from the UK. It is worth mentioning that my father has contribute

d to establish a college by donating his land in the village when he was alive. The building was built under my supervision and all the equipment was bought from Australia. It cost about 2 crore BDT to complete the hospital.The running cost of the hospital at the moment is 80,000 BDT per month which I have been paying since its establishment in 2007. I am planning to get registration with Social Welfare Department. I wish that it will become a very modern hospital one day and the village people will get more services at a minimum cost. I would like to mention the name of my dearest friend Dr Zaved Iqbal who has extended his helping hand towards the poor people. He has been contributing for "free medicine for the poor". I hope many others will express their intention to contribute to this noble cause.
