💥 Breath-Holding Attacks (BHA):💥

🚨 Understanding Breath-Holding Attacks in Children 🚨

Does your child sometimes cry so hard that they hold their breath, turn blue, or even faint? This could be a Breath-Holding Attack (BHA)—a common but harmless condition in kids aged 6 months to 6 years.

What are Breath-Holding Attacks?

Breath-holding attacks are involuntary episodes often triggered by frustration, pain, or fear. While they can be scary to witness, they rarely cause long-term harm.

Types of Attacks:

1️⃣ Cyanotic (Blue): Triggered by anger or frustration, where the child stops breathing and turns blue.
2️⃣ Pallid (Pale): Caused by sudden fright or pain, leading to paleness and fainting.
3️⃣ Mixed: A combination of both types.

What to Do During an Attack:

Stay calm.

Lay the child on a flat, safe surface.

Avoid shaking or slapping them.

The episode usually resolves within a minute.

When to See a Doctor?

📌 If episodes are frequent or severe.
📌 If there’s prolonged unconsciousness or seizures.
📌 To check for iron deficiency, which may increase the frequency of attacks.

💡 Good news: Most children outgrow this condition by age 6, and it doesn’t affect their overall health or development.

💌৬-২৪ মাসের শিশু, সুষম খাদ্য💌

💥৬ মাস থেকে ২ বছরের শিশুর সুষম খাদ্য তালিকা💥

🤔সুস্থ ও সঠিক বৃদ্ধির জন্য শিশুর পুষ্টিকর খাবার খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। শিশুর বয়স অনুযায়ী খাবারের ধরন ভিন্ন হতে পারে। এখানে বয়সভিত্তিক খাবারের তালিকা দেওয়া হলো:

🧡৬-৮ মাসের শিশু:

মায়ের দুধ: প্রধান খাবার।

পাশাপাশি:
✔ চালের নরম খিচুড়ি
✔ মসুর ডালের স্যুপ
✔ সেদ্ধ আলু বা কুমড়া (মসলা ছাড়া)
✔ ফলের পিউরি (কলা, পেঁপে, আপেল)

💚৯-১২ মাসের শিশু:

মায়ের দুধ: অব্যাহত রাখতে হবে।

পাশাপাশি:
✔ ঘন খিচুড়ি (ডিম/মাংস মিশিয়ে)
✔ নরম রুটি বা পাউরুটি
✔ সেদ্ধ ডিমের কুসুম
✔ মাছের মাংস (কাঁটা সরিয়ে)
✔ সবজি (মসৃণ করে)

💛১-২ বছরের শিশু:

মায়ের দুধ: সম্ভব হলে চালিয়ে যান।

পাশাপাশি:
✔ পরিবারের সাধারণ খাবার (নরম করে)
✔ সেদ্ধ ডিম
✔ মাছ, মাংস ও লিভার
✔ দুধ ও দুধজাত খাবার (যেমন দই, পনির)
✔ সবজি ও ফল

🗯️ খাবার খাওয়ানোর নিয়ম:

১,শিশুকে ছোট পরিমাণে বারবার খাওয়ান।

২,মশলা ও লবণ কম দিন।

৩,পানি ও তরল খাবার নিশ্চিত করুন।

৪,শিশুর খাবার পরিষ্কার-পরিচ্ছন্ন রাখুন।
