আক্কেল দাঁত হলো আমাদের চোয়ালের একেবারে শেষ প্রান্তে থাকা তৃতীয় মোলার দাঁত। সাধারণত ১৭–২৫ বছর বয়সের মধ্যে এটি ওঠে।

🕰️ প্রাচীনকালে মানুষের কঠিন খাবার চিবানোর জন্য এই দাঁত দরকার ছিল। কিন্তু বর্তমান নরম খাদ্যাভ্যাসের কারণে আমাদের চোয়াল তুলনামূলক ছোট হয়ে গেছে। ফলে আক্কেল দাঁতের জন্য পর্যাপ্ত জায়গা না থাকায় এটি অনেক সময় আংশিকভাবে বা বাঁকাভাবে উঠে বিভিন্ন সমস্যার সৃষ্টি করে।
