Getting you back on your feet! Ugani Prosthetics re-engineers high-quality Assistive Technology, adapted to be affordable and accessible to all.

An estimated 40 million amputees living in developing countries need a prosthetic (WHO). Only a very small percentage of these patients receive a prosthetic limb (5-15% of amputees, depending on the country). Missing a limb means a serious impairment of daily life activities. There are the physical constraints of not being able to walk or grab things, but there is also a social stigma in many countries affecting the patients who suffer from amputation. By offering prosthetic limbs to these patients, we can enable them to live a normal life, to walk again, to start a business, and to be fully accepted in their community. The main focus of Ugani Prosthetics will be on the production and sales of the prosthetic limbs we are developing. However, to ensure we offer an attractive solution for our customers, we will re-engineer the entire value chain of prosthetic fittings, while also collaborating with local health and educational institutions to increase the positive impact we can create. Ugani Prosthetics’ goal is to create an impact on a large scale, by quickly expanding our local manufacturing capabilities, and expanding to different cities and countries with a proven business model.

We are strengthening our position as a professional digital prosthetics company, serving clinics and workshops in high-income countries such as Belgium and Denmark, while remaining deeply committed to expanding access and increasing our impact in resource-constrained settings, such as in Palestine, Sierra Leone, and Kenya.

Our ambition is clear:
Raise the standard of quality.
Support professionals.
And ensure that advanced prosthetic care is accessible everywhere.

We are currently conducting follow-up tests on our latest testing rig at Onderzoeksgroep Mobilab & Care in accordance with ISO 22675, further reinforcing our commitment to precision, reliability, and continuous innovation.

This testing phase supports the ongoing improvement of our validation processes and contributes directly to enhancing the quality, durability, and performance of our prosthetic solutions, in line with the highest industry standards.

Last week, Joren Vallaeys & Florian Vallaeys were in Mexico City to train 70 prosthetics and orthotics (P&O) professionals during two intensive days.
The enthusiasm was clearly there !

Thanks to lower monthly investments and remote printer management, many additional workshops in Mexico can now transition to 3D.

Kobe Bleukx visited Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone Limited, a great opportunity to discover their Artificial Limb Centre. An integrated facility dedicated to the manufacturing and fitting of prosthetics, orthotics, and mobility aids. It is located in the heart of one of Asia’s largest MedTech parks.

It’s very impressive to see how much AMTZ has accomplished in such a short time. Truly a testament to how fast innovation and development can happen when the right people are behind it.
