Ugani Prosthetics

Ugani Prosthetics Getting you back on your feet! Ugani Prosthetics re-engineers high-quality Assistive Technology, adapted to be affordable and accessible to all.

An estimated 40 million amputees living in developing countries need a prosthetic (WHO). Only a very small percentage of these patients receive a prosthetic limb (5-15% of amputees, depending on the country). Missing a limb means a serious impairment of daily life activities. There are the physical constraints of not being able to walk or grab things, but there is also a social stigma in many countries affecting the patients who suffer from amputation. By offering prosthetic limbs to these patients, we can enable them to live a normal life, to walk again, to start a business, and to be fully accepted in their community. The main focus of Ugani Prosthetics will be on the production and sales of the prosthetic limbs we are developing. However, to ensure we offer an attractive solution for our customers, we will re-engineer the entire value chain of prosthetic fittings, while also collaborating with local health and educational institutions to increase the positive impact we can create. Ugani Prosthetics’ goal is to create an impact on a large scale, by quickly expanding our local manufacturing capabilities, and expanding to different cities and countries with a proven business model.

We just wrapped up an amazing collaboration in Sierra Leone! 🇸🇱

After a couple of weeks of on-site training, we were able to hand over our knowledge and technology to local practitioners, equipping them to provide prosthetic arms independently and sustainably.

A huge thank you to the incredible teams at Makeni and gGmbH, their hard work and dedication made this possible.

This is only the beginning. We look forward to continuing this partnership and can’t wait to see the positive impact that’s still to come.

🦿 The Future of Movement Is Now
The prosthetics and orthotics market is evolving and growing fast.

🌍 According to recent research, the global market is expected to exceed $13.8 billion by 2032, fuelled by innovation, accessibility, and rising clinical demand.
This isn’t just market momentum, it’s a reflection of changing lives.

At Ugani, we see this growth as a signal:
🔹 People want more than mobility; they want freedom, confidence, and dignity.
🔹 Clinicians need smarter, more adaptable solutions.
🔹 Innovation must be human-first.

We're proud to help shape this future with technology that goes beyond function, empowering people to walk, run, and live on their own terms.

At Ugani, we work with clinics around the world — from high-income hospitals to advanced digital P&O centres — but we never forget our core mission.

That mission comes to life once again in Makeni, Sierra Leone, where we’re supporting local hospital staff with hands-on training to produce high-quality 3D-printed prosthetic arms.

In partnership with BEGECA gGmbH and Caritas Sierra Leone, we’re aiming to fit 200 patients before the end of the year — using the highest quality Ugani technology.

Each arm is printed and assembled on-site by the local staff, ensuring the devices are not only functional and accessible, but also ensuring durability for the project and efforts in Sierra Leone.

This project is a reminder: the same tools that enable precision care in Europe or the US can — and should — be used to build sustainable prosthetic services in underserved regions.

📅 Today is World AT Day, a global moment initiated by our partners at to pause and reflect on a vital truth:
Access to assistive technology is a human right.

Yet millions of people in low- and middle-income countries still lack the basic tools they need to learn, work, and live independently. Tools like eyeglasses, hearing aids, wheelchairs, and prosthetics.

The impact of assistive technology is profound:
✅ It can mean the difference between employment and exclusion, education and drop-out, opportunity and dependency.
✅ For a child in a low-income country, it can boost lifetime earnings by $100,000.
✅ Every $1 invested in four essential AT products yields a $9 return in societal and economic value.

World AT Day is part of the campaign, a collective call to action for policymakers, organizations, businesses, and the public to raise awareness and drive real change.

At Ugani, we believe this is both the right thing and the smart thing to do.

💡 Let’s shine a light on assistive technology and work together to expand access wherever it's needed most. Make sure to visit their website and learn more about the AT industry.

🌟 One of Our Success Stories 🌟
It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since we kicked off our partnership with ArtaLive Sdn Bhd, our very first collaborators in Asia. Since then, they’ve laid a strong foundation for our growth across the region.

When we first met, ArtaLive was working with a traditional and time-consuming manufacturing process. But by embracing the Ugani 3D solution, they transformed the way they deliver care, by streamlining production and accelerating outcomes for patients.

In just 12 months, the ArtaLive team has produced hundreds of high-quality prosthetics, helping individuals regain mobility, confidence, and independence.

We’re truly proud to collaborate with such a forward-thinking and compassionate team. Thank you for being such inspiring partners.

Here's to many more lives transformed and to a future built on innovation, access, and shared purpose!

Sharing Knowledge, Shaping Futures: Our 3D Journey with Care Vale 🇮🇳

Last year, we had the opportunity to collaborate with CareVale Rehablitation Service and introduce their wonderful team to our 3D technology.
In just two weeks, Joren trained their local P&O specialists and engineers, empowering them to deliver high-quality 3D-printed prosthetics and orthotics to their patients.

As part of this project, we also teamed up for a podcast with Abu Thahir, where Joren shares the story behind Ugani, discusses why we started this journey, explores the full potential of 3D printing, and highlights the many benefits it can offer in the P&O sector.

🎙️ Feel free to listen to the podcast, you might discover something new about Ugani or about the exciting world of 3D-printed prosthetics and orthotics!

We truly enjoyed this collaboration and look forward to partnering with other inspiring organizations in the future.

Ugani Prosthetics at ISPO 2025 – Stockholm 🇸🇪

Every two years, the ISPO Congress unites global professionals in prosthetics, orthotics, and mobility solutions.

In Stockholm, we will be showcasing Ugani Prosthetics at our own booth and shedding some focus on our operations. Additionally, Joren Vallaeys will present our vision on empowering practitioners with 3D. By focusing on knowledge transfer and in-house local manufacturing, Ugani aims to help local professionals deliver high-quality, state-of-the-art P&O solutions. We’re also excited to be joined at the congress by our partners from the Global Disability Innovation Hub, further strengthening our shared mission for accessible and sustainable care.

International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics provides valuable opportunities for collaboration, learning, and exploring emerging technologies.

We look forward to connecting and shaping the future of prosthetic and orthotic care.

At Ugani Prosthetics, we’re excited to introduce our latest innovation: the telepathically-operated prosthetic. By implanting a chip that monitors brain activity, we generate precise signals for smooth, coordinated limb movements — providing a truly seamless, energy-free experience.
Key Features:
• Mind-Controlled Power
• Energy-Free Movement
• Effortless Integration
While we’re incredibly excited about this technology, we have to admit — it’s not quite ready yet… for now.
