✨ More inspiration from the PostEurop Philatelic Forum! Over two dynamic days, we explored how stamps continue to connect people, promote culture, and inspire creativity.

We had the pleasure of hearing from Suzanne Rae (PTS, UK) on her journey from stamp enthusiast to founding STAMPEX International, supporting over 300 philatelic traders.

A warm welcome to Jafarkhon Jakhongirov (UzPost, Uzbekistan) who shared how stamps celebrate national heroes and promote cultural identity abroad.

Correos Spain showed how ATM stamps attract new audiences through smart collaborations like Comic Con & Chinese New Year festivals.

Bundesdruckerei reminded us that integrated security features help protect stamps from counterfeiting in seamless ways.

Omniva (Estonia) and An Post (Ireland) shared honest perspectives on innovating in a digital world—by engaging younger generations and drawing on modern design while honoring heritage.

We ended with a powerful panel on the relevance of stamps today—featuring voices from Austria, Azerbaijan, Netherlands, Postcrossing, and more.

💬 The message was clear: stamps still matter when we dare to rethink, collaborate, and create with purpose.

Day 2 of the PostEurop Philatelic Forum was a true celebration of stamp artistry! 🎨📮

We kicked off with a Masterclass Introduction by Johanna Finne, Head of Communications & Stamps at Åland Post and Vice-Chair of the PostEurop Stamps and Philately Working Group.

From concept to creation, every stamp is a story—brought to life through close collaboration with incredible artists.

This morning, we met three of the philatelic world’s “rock stars” who shared their journeys, inspirations, and iconic works:

🦉 Bo Lundwall – Known for his breathtaking wildlife art. His watercolor of Åland’s Moor Frogs won 2nd prize at the 2021 EUROPA competition for Endangered Wildlife. Bo’s deep connection with nature brings extraordinary detail and emotion to his work.

🪶 Lars Sjööblom – Illustrator & engraver with a passion for nature and animals. Lars often creates both the original design and the engraving, giving each stamp his signature touch.

🐍 Martin Mörck – Master engraver behind stamps and banknotes for Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. Martin also works across mediums—from wine labels to magazines—and now leads an engraving school in Beijing with a team of 8 artists. A true bridge between tradition and innovation.

What an inspiring morning of creativity, craft, and storytelling through stamps!

🌱 Sustainability Days 2025: Collaborating for a Greener Postal Future

Later in the afternoon, Österreichische Post AG (Austrian Post) welcomed participants on an insightful tour of their facilities, offering a closer look at how sustainability is embedded in their daily operations.

The tour included a visit to their postal branch, Philately unit, self-service machines, and a showcase of their sustainable fleet—demonstrating innovation in action across every aspect of the business.
