🫏 Donkey Loewie came to our clinic with a painful eye condition. After careful examination, we decided that an enucleation was the best option for his comfort. This is a surgical procedure to remove the affected eye. It’s often the kindest choice when an eye is beyond saving. Loewie can now live his life pain-free.

🐴 Patella surgery at Bosdreef

This 5-year-old horse slipped in the field and came to the clinic lame at walk. Examination revealed a fractured patella. Through arthroscopy, the joint was carefully cleaned. The fragment (4 x 3 cm) was too small to fix with a screw, so it was removed. The horse will now continue with a structured rehabilitation program.

✨ Do you remember Étoile? She came to us with osteomyelitis of the coffin bone caused by a severe bacterial infection in her hoof joint. We’re happy to share that her treatment was a success and she can now enjoy the rest of her life peacefully grazing in the fields.
