Having a postpartum doula has been linked to lower rates in postpartum depression and rage. They also can assist in any struggles both mom and baby face in this transitional period.
From overnights so the family can get some rest, to lactation/ bottle feeding help and beyond postpartum doulas can be so pivitol in a families growth.

Need some help setting up your birth preferences or packing your hospital bag?
Here's a good place to start . Also remember to try and educate yourself to the best of your ability, this is where a doula may come in handy even just for a planning consult.

Packing is also entirely dependent on the person, you may not need anything but a charger and a going home outfit. You also might need more comfort items like your own blanket, self care items, photography decor, ect .

** note that the below are not my preferences just simply ones the creator chose for themselves . Your preferences are valid, we trust your decision to do the right things for you and your baby**

Another thing to add to this is that doulas also takes alot of the weight off of nurses. When a nurse sees a doula, they immediatly know that that family has so much support , education, and advocacy going for them and it's less of the stress on them where they can aim that focus to other matters .

A peak inside of my last baby's birthday.
The difference education made in my expirence and confidence was immense. When u know more you feel so much more empowered in your choices . Especially when facing not ideal medical interventions such as augmentation or c-section.
