🔬🐔 In the Middle East & Africa, 92% of feed samples tested in 2024 were contaminated with mycotoxins. Frequently with multiple ones. While feed analysis is a useful first step, it often doesn’t capture the full picture of mycotoxin exposure on farm.

🐔 It was great wrapping up a successful ! These past 3 days, poultry professionals and our colleagues from around the world came together to deepen their expertise in mycotoxin biomonitoring, intestinal health, and coccidiosis. The goal? Bridging science and practice to solve today’s animal health challenges.

1️⃣ With Prof. Siska Croubels (Ghent University), participants explored emerging mycotoxins and how biomonitoring helps assess real exposure. Dr. Arnau Vidal (Innovad Group) showed how to apply this knowledge.

2️⃣ Prof. Filip Van Immerseel (Ghent University) and Dr. Attila Kovács DVM, MVSc (Innovad Group) guided attendees through intestinal health principles, while Dr. Maarten De Gussem (Vetworks) and Gilles De Feyter (Innovad Group) offered practical insights into coccidiosis rotation programs and shuttle strategies.

3️⃣ Dr. Hilde Van Meirhaeghe (Ghent University) and Dr. Fernando Lima (Innovad Group) shared valuable knowledge on liver and kidney health issues, as well as Ca-metabolism and eggshell quality.

4️⃣ A necropsy session and lab visit at Ghent University led by Jeroen De Gussem (Innovad Group) and Dr. Hilde Van Meirhaeghe provided participants with hands-on experience in identifying poultry health issues.
