Unicoms is taking part in the 13th edition of Advertising Academy – an intensive, practice-led educational project designed to replicate the dynamics of real-world brand and communications development.

Hosted by New Bulgarian University from 16 to 20 February 2026, the Academy brings together multidisciplinary student teams and leading industry professionals around live business cases. Working within a condensed timeframe and a highly focused environment, participants are expected to approach the challenge as practitioners and develop integrated marketing solutions from the ground up.

As part of this year’s program, Yoanna Ilieva, Global Brand Manager – Medical Devices at Unicoms, will mentor a team, guiding them through strategic thinking and decision-making. Dimitar Stamatov, Global Brand Manager for WEDO at Unicoms, will join the jury, contributing senior expertise in brand development and market strategy to the final evaluation.

Rooted in a genuine passion for the craft of brand building and a strong belief in mentorship, education and innovation, Unicoms actively supports initiatives that bridge academic learning and industry practice. Educational materials prepared by in-house doctor Dr. Sara Tuncheva offered clear guidance on prostate health, early screening and the importance of recognising changes in the body.

Psycho-vocal therapist Velin Markov facilitated a workshop that introduced grounding techniques, breathwork and an honest conversation about strength, stress and connection. The session encouraged participants to notice tension, manage pressure more effectively and adopt simple habits that support resilience and balance in daily life.

Unicoms embraces education and open conversation as core values.

This November the company joins Movember to raise awareness about men's health including mental wellbeing, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

For generations men have been taught to stay silent and face difficulties alone. Movember challenges that mindset. Growing a moustache has become a symbol of bringing hidden issues to light, a reminder that speaking up and taking care of yourself shows strength, not weakness.

Regular check-ups are an act of self-respect and responsibility, a simple choice that builds long-term wellbeing. Taking care of one's health is an investment that gives back in time, balance and better quality of life.

At Unicoms health communication is about empowerment. This month colleagues across the team are joining Movember to encourage honest conversations and remind others that men's health deserves attention and commitment.

Unicoms welcomed five bright young minds as part of Junior Achievement Bulgaria's initiative Manager for a Day, giving students the opportunity to take on real leadership roles and explore the dynamics of the healthcare industry.

For one day, they stepped into the roles of Marketing Leads, Medical Directors and Supply Chain Managers, joining meetings, contributing ideas and taking part in decision-making alongside their mentors. On October 23, Head of Marketing Blagovesta Zhelyazkova will welcome a student eager to explore how ideas grow into campaigns that touch people and create value. Unicoms takes part in Junior Achievement Bulgaria’s initiative Manager for a Day, sharing its commitment to education, opportunity and empowerment with the next generation of leaders.

On October 23, Medical Director Gergana Stoyanova will mentor a student, inviting them into the space where science meets empathy and data meets intuition.

For Gergana, leadership is not about speaking the loudest but about listening deeply to people, numbers and instincts. She believes that when empathy, evidence and intuition work in harmony, decisions gain clarity and collaboration grows stronger.

Unicoms supported this past weekend’s “Outrunning Dementia Together” run in Sofia, uniting hundreds of participants around a shared purpose of awareness, empathy and action against dementia.

For the third consecutive year, Selenogin Super sponsored the event in partnership with the Alzheimer Bulgaria Association, reinforcing the message that movement sustains both body and mind. The 5 km run served as a reminder that community and consistency can bring lasting change.
