Shockingly, less than 30% of the world's 35 million amputees have access to prosthetics, and of those fitted, 50% abandon them because they are uncomfortable or cause pain and injury. To make it even worse, there's already a 60% shortage of clinical professionals, most of which are already over-stretched!

With a doubling of amputee numbers in the next 25 years, and accelerating attrition of clinicians due to retirement, this is a pending disaster in the making.
