The Pakistani Women’s Association in Bahrain hosted its General body meet up 2021 with a Breast Cancer Awareness Collaborative on the 30th of November at the Gulf hotel Bahrain.

PWA was humbled that the First Lady of Pakistan , the Honorable Mrs.Samina Alvi joined the meeting virtually to inspire and share all the achievements she and her task force has made in Pakistan on breast cancer awareness and to guide us to further this cause and towards self care and monthly self examination .

PWA, pledged to continue its support to the cause as this awareness must not be restricted to December only .

The event commenced with tilawat by Ammara Omar, National Anthem , Welcome speech by Hamna Arif , President Address Shahmeen Islam. The event also included ice breaker exercises conducted by Bahrain’s first female stand up comedian and improv actor Amy Vaya followed by a descriptive session on the signs, symptoms and prevention of Breast cancer by Dr Shazia Durrani . The event ended with a relaxation technique by Arjumand Ashar and some giveaways .
