Kevin planned a trip for us to Italy to celebrate our 15 year anniversary and our 50th birthdays, and it was amazing! 10 days, 4 stops, had my Michelangelo fix (must.have.more!), amazing food and wine, and best of all, spending time with my best friend. We are already planning a trip back with the boys.

First run of September, back on my beloved trails! July I managed some workouts. August had nothing intentional. And I felt it. I'm excited to get back into a routine with my faves - running, strength training, Muay Thai and maybe even some volleyball. Looking forward to the mood boost along with feeling physically stronger.

Grateful I'm strong enough to play hard with my boys! We went to The Factory today, a huge, warehouse sized play zone. We jumped on trampolines, played basketball, climbed, then did a rope obstacle course. It was a blast, but the strength and energy it takes to keep up is no joke. I'm proud of myself for being able to set an active example for them.

We had a break in the rain today, so I took Ozzy on a hike up our hill to check out the mountains and river. We found a deer shed, lots of bugs and bear s**t. Skat? I also brushed up on some poison ivy and bravely carried Ozzy past the patch so he'd be free of itch. I still loved it. Will wear bug spray and long pants next time. you even reminded me about the bugs, and I still didn't coat myself in deet. Won't make that mistake again (til next year).
