Returning to My Roots as a Photography Educator

I’m so excited to share that I’ve returned to something that has always set my soul on fire: teaching photography.

Back in Brazil, from 2011 to 2016, I had the incredible opportunity to teach 13 classes of basic photography, guiding students as they discovered the magic of capturing the world through their lens. Those years were some happy moments of my career.

Today, after more than 15 years as a professional photographer specializing in newborn, family, and women’s portraiture, I feel an even deeper calling to share my knowledge.

I’m fortunate to have not only the experience but also a beautiful studio space designed to welcome students into a warm, creative environment. Teaching what I love most is so rewarding, and I can’t wait to inspire others to discover the joy of photography for themselves.

I’m also curious: would you or someone you know be interested in learning how to create beautiful images with a phone camera? Photography has never been more accessible, and there are so many ways to elevate everyday pictures into something truly special.

Here’s to new beginnings, revisiting old passions, and building a community of people who love telling stories through images.

Because I love Peonies…
There’s something about peonies that makes my heart happy- their softness, their layers, their shape, their quiet beauty.
This season, I decided not only to admire them but to step in front of the camera with them. As a photographer, I’m always behind the lens, capturing others’ stories. But this time, I wanted to celebrate my own story too - surrounded by the flowers I love so much.
Sometimes we forget how important it is to exist in photos - to honor who we are right now, in this season of life. And I hope this inspires you to do the same.
Maybe it’s how they bloom fully, unapologetically, even if their time is short.
Long before I became a photographer, I was drawn to flowers - how they hold beauty in the smallest details. The soft curves, the vibrant shades, the way light dances through petals. Without even knowing it, flowers taught me to see, to slow down and notice the magic in the little things.
That same love for details is what led me to photography. Today, when I photograph families, newborns, women, or children, I carry that same gentle approach: honoring each moment, every small expression, every connection. Just like flowers, every person has a beauty and story that deserves to be seen.
